Rihanna's debut collection for her fashion line, Fenty, goes on sale next week — and fans have been waiting with bated breath for the first look at the singer's designs.

Ahead of the big launch on May 29, Rihanna and LVMH — the luxury parent company behind her first high-end label — have released the first images of the designs, which included everything from clothing to accessories to jewelry.

'I started off by being an endorser of brands, lending my likeness and my face to fashion brands, but this is totally different,' the 31-year-old told Vogue. 'Everything I’ve learned so far has led me to this moment.'

There has certainly been a build-up. Fans freaked out when it was announced that Rihanna was producing the Fenty line, and not just because they couldn't wait to get their hands on her clothes.

Rihanna is the first black woman running an LVMH Maison brand, and the first woman at all to launch an original brand at LVMH.

'Everybody knows Rihanna as a wonderful singer, but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I discovered a true entrepreneur, a real CEO and a terrific leader. She naturally finds her full place within LVMH,' LVMH Chairman and Chief Executive Bernard Arnault told Business of Fashion earlier this month.

'To support Rihanna to start up the Fenty Maison, we have built a talented and multicultural team supported by the group resources. I am proud that LVMH is leading this venture and wish it will be a great success.'

That team includes people pulled from other top brands like Celine and Louis Vuitton.

'Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us,' said Rihanna
'I couldn¿t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I¿m ready for the world to see what we have built together'

'Just like everything, it has to come from me; it has to look good on me ¿ I have to love it with a passion. If that feeling isn¿t there, it won¿t work,' she said
She has already worn several of the pieces herself

'Just like everything, it has to come from me; it has to look good on me — I have to love it with a passion. If that feeling isn’t there, it won’t work,' she said

And Rihanna is also thrilled about the partnership.

'Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits,' she said.

'I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.'

As for the line itself, it's very Rihanna — and she said it was important that everything in the line would be something she'd wear that would look good on her body.

'Just like everything, it has to come from me; it has to look good on me — I have to love it with a passion. If that feeling isn’t there, it won’t work,' she said.

'Everybody knows my denim obsession is not going to stop,' Rihanna said

Discussing a salmon pink suit from the line, she explained: 'I've always loved shopping in the men’s department. I like the swag, the fit of it. Plus this suit comes with a matching fanny pack, so you’re instantly snatched in the waist.'

She also shared her love of a denim corset dress in the collection.

'Everybody knows my denim obsession is not going to stop. I had them make the dress in my size the moment the sample came in just so that I could see what it looked like on my body — my hips, my curves, my thighs,' she said.

And lest anyone think that RiRi simply put her stamp of approval on a finished product, a source told WWD in January that Rihanna is a 'hands-on type who is extensively involved in product development.'

That makes sense, given how much money the brand stands to rake in. Rihanna's  Fenty Beauty products did $100 million in the first few weeks after they were released and have continued to be a fan favorite.
