Following her hugely successful stint on the beloved TV drama Downton Abbey, she moved from the UK to Los Angeles in a bid to further boost her career.
But on Tuesday, Joanne Froggatt was spotted enjoying a quintessentially British pursuit when she stepped out with her husband James Cannon for their annual appearance at the Wimbledon tennis championships in south-west London.
The 37-year-old actress was resplendent in a white peasant sleeveless top with a matching skirt from Madderson London, which featured a drop hem and was cinched at the waist, allowing her to showcase her enviably svelte frame.

Wearing her golden tresses in soft waves, the Yorkshire-born actress highlighted her natural beauty with a light palette of makeup that included a nude lip gloss.
As she mingled with a host of fellow VIPs, the blonde beauty cosied up to her husband of six years James, who cut a dapper figure in a pastel blue blazer over a black T-shirt, which he teamed with cream chinos and grey suede slip-ons.

Joanne and IT director James tied the knot at a private ceremony in October 2012.
In the years following the end of Downton Abbey, they moved from Buckinghamshire to Los Angeles so that she could pursue career opportunities in the US.
Speaking exclusively to The Daily Mail ahead of the 2016 Golden Globes, Joanne confessed that she and James had just made the move from the UK to Los Angeles for her career, as Downton Abbey came to an end.

'We've taken the plunge and done it. Last Tuesday we rented out our house for six months, boarded a flight to Los Angeles and here we are,' she said.
'We're actually homeless. We're living in a hotel until we can find ourselves somewhere to rent out here. We have some feelers out and we're assembling a list of places to view.
'I have no jobs lined up in Hollywood but there are so many opportunities to be had. We're going to have a little bit of a break first and then plunge right in and see what's out there. I won't be here forever.

Joanne has previously opened up about James, saying that she found it refreshing that he managed an IT company and was not in the showbiz industry.
'He’s passionate about film and theatre, so we have a common interest – and he’s not in the business, so it’s perfect,' she told The Telegraph in 2015.
The actress added that she liked nothing more than keeping a low profile and watching TV at home with him to relax.
