The three central actresses play the roles of Sabina, Elena and Jane - the newest Angels to the franchise, following in the footsteps of actresses including Cameron Diaz, Jill Munroe, Drew Barrymore, Farrah Fawcett, Minka Kelly and Lucy Liu, who have portrayed past Angels in the franchise.
Kristen told Variety of the project: 'It’s kind of like a ‘woke’ version… There’s a kitsch nature to the last ones that was super fun. But nowadays, if you see a woman in combat, everything should be completely and utterly within their ability.'
