Former JLS singer Oritse Williams (left) has been cleared by a jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court of raping a woman at a hotel. The 32-year-old singer was accused of launching a sex attack on a 20-year-old tattoo artist after plying her and two pals with booze on December 2, 2016. Friend and tour manager Jamien Nagadhana (bottom left), also 32, was also charged with sexual touching and assault by penetration of the same woman at the pair's room in Wolverhampton's Ramada Hotel. But a jury of eight women and four men took two hours and 17 minutes to find Williams and Nagadhana, not guilty of all charges. Friends of the star have now come out in support of Mr Williams, saying he had faced 'three years of hell'. Marvin Humes posted a picture of his friend on Instagram (top right) and said 'Cleared...Not Guilty!' (Bottom right, JLS together in 2008.)

'An upsetting morning that turned into a lucky one for me': Spencer Matthews tells of being caught up in £500,000 moped raid on Marylebone jewellers where he hid in vault - and how only watch not stolen was HIS £30,000 Rolex
Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews star today revealed how The Hour House in Marylebone was 'smashed to pieces' while he took cover downstairs with two friends. Dramatic video footage filmed from across the road on Duke Street showed six people racing off on three mopeds, with two on each, at about 10.30am today. I'm A Celebrity star Matthews revealed on Instagram that he had been at the shop picking up a vintage watch and had presumed this was taken in the raid. But when he went back upstairs following the raid, he found the watch 'amongst all the rubble', telling followers in a video: 'If that's not luck, I don't know what is.' Scotland Yard said it had sent specialist firearms officers to the scene, and a man in his 30s was treated for an eye injury after the shop window was smashed.

Revealed: How 'murdered' Tristan, 13, appeared on BBC show 'Our School' with yellow Mohawk to raise cash for friend with cancer - as his mother, 34, and uncle, 37, are charged over deaths of him and 14-year-old brother Blake
Tristan Barrass, 13, appeared on a BBC series called 'Our School' in 2017 in which he was filmed in class (left) with his dyed hair. The youngster, who died alongside his brother Blake Barrass, 14 (pictured together, right) at a house in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield on Friday, is filmed being quizzed by teachers on his hairstyle. Tristan, who according to the documentary was known around the school for his distinctive hair, tells them: 'My friend is dying of bone cancer, I asked if I could dye my hair yellow for him. His favourite colour is yellow.' He added that his hair 'makes me who I want to be. With normal hair, you look like any other person.' The footage has emerged as his mother Sarah Barrass was remanded in custody today accused of murdering her two sons. She will stand trial later in the year accused of killing Tristan and brother Blake alongside the boy's uncle Brandon Machin, 37, who is also charged with murder. Now Tony Blair (the man whose ‘dodgy dossier’ took us into the Iraq war) returns to insist Remain votes DO add up to a majority in Euro elections and claims Labour must back a second referendum
The former Labour Prime Minister was the latest pro-EU figure to attempt to turn the result away from a crushing victory for Nigel Farage (inset left). Speaking on Sky News today (main), Mr Blair said: 'You can argue about the Brexit Party coming number one - but then if you stack up the votes of the pro-remain parties it's a bigger percentage than the Brexit Party and UKIP. So what these results tell you is that this country is profoundly divided.' Tory Brexiteer Andrew Bridgen said: 'For anyone including Tony Blair to think the election was anything but a victory for the Brexit Party is to be in complete denial of the facts.' Yesterday his former No 10 spinner Alastair Campbell was among those who argued that adding up the votes for anti-Brexit parties saw them beat the combined Brexiteer vote (top left). But their argument is based on ignoring the 9.1 per cent of votes won by the Conservatives, who are also a pro-Brexit party. Adding those to the Brexiteer vote, as Nigel Farage argues, gives it a majority (bottom right).
'Mission critical to deliver Brexit': Tory leadership hopefuls fall over themselves to pledge UK will be out by October as party hits panic button after drubbing by Farage - but Boris is still smiling as he steps out with girlfriend Carrie
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the party was under attack 'on two sides' as Nigel Farage humiliated the party in the UK poll while Conservative candidates also lost out to the pro-Europe Liberal Democrats. Writing for the Daily Mail, Mr Hancock (bottom row, second from left) warned that 'Tory voters who supported Remain and younger voters who share our values are being hoovered up by the Lib Dems in growing numbers'. Several Tory leadership candidates yesterday charged towards backing a No Deal Brexit as the party hit the panic button following its drubbing at the hands of Nigel Farage. Boris Johnson (pictured top with girlfriend Carrie Symonds) said it was 'time to deliver Brexit'; Michael Gove (bottom left) warned that Jeremy Corbyn could win power if Brexit is delayed until the next election; Jeremy Hunt (bottom row, second right) said the party would face an 'existential crisis' if it did not deliver Brexit'; and Sajid Javid (bottom right), who joined the race yesterday, said getting out of the EU would be his 'first and foremost' priority.
Cornered Corbyn close to second referendum surrender: Humiliated Labour leader signals he is 'ready to support a public vote' after huge Euro election losses
Mr Corbyn (pictured left outside his London home yesterday) signalled he could be ready to commit to a second Brexit vote after his colleagues said it was the only way to stop Labour haemorrhaging support. John McDonnell and Diane Abbott both told him the party must guarantee a new referendum under any circumstances in the wake of its European elections mauling. But the major obstacle to this remains his hard-Left allies such as powerful union boss Len McCluskey, who is vehemently against a second Brexit vote for fear of Labour being wiped out in the North. Pictured right: a diagram showing how the Brexit Party dominated everywhere except London and Scotland in the European elections, with Labour dropping to an embarrassing third behind the Liberal Democrats.
'Absolute tosh!' Nigel Farage loses his temper and blasts GMB host for repeating false claims that Remain votes 'add up' to a majority in Euro elections - even though Brexit Party won outright
Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage raged that pro-EU politicians were just 'moaning about every single election which they lose'. The furious rebuke came after some Remainers argued that adding up the votes for anti-Brexit parties could be taken as an indication that the public did not want to leave the EU. Presenter Charlotte Hawkins challenged Mr Farage about the idea as he appeared on ITV's GMB programme.
Nigel's new crew: The upper crust actress, former lads' mag editor and the ex-boss of Asda are among the 29 Brexit Party MEPs elected in Tory and Labour wipeout
Nigel Farage will lead an army of 29 new Brexit Party MEPs as they head to Brussels after thrashing the Tories and Labour. The group, who only joined the party six weeks ago, were elected in a shockwave vote sparked because Britain failed to leave the EU on March 29 this year. Many of the candidates are political newbies, most have a background in business but others have worked for the NHS, in the media or for Mr Farage himself. The eclectic group includes friend of Lady Kitty Spencer Belinda de Lucy (left), a mother-of-four, Martin Daubney, who edited Loaded magazine, and John Longworth, who was forced to stand down as director general of the British Chambers of Commerce for backing Brexit.
Tories at war: IAIN DUNCAN SMITH says his party must deliver Brexit not compromises - but SIR NICHOLAS SOAMES insists extreme reactions are madness not leadership, as big beasts lock horns over the way forward
In the wake of a humbling election result for the Conservatives, who finished fifth in the European Parliament poll, two Tory heavyweights have laid out their demands for Theresa May's successor. Calling for the new party leader to 'put aside anger and division', Sir Nicholas Soames (pictured left) argues that 'to talk of coming together is not weak'. But former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith (pictured right) blames a 'political establishment wedded to compromise' for leaving the Tories in their current mess.

They kicked off their hotly-anticipated reunion tour with a bang in Dublin's Croke Park on Friday, but many viewers were left disappointed over the stadium's sound problems. And The Spice Girls (main) continued to leave their fans divided over their string of performances as they took to the stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium in Wales on Monday evening. While some praised members Emma Bunton, 43, Geri Horner, 46, Mel Brown, 43, and Mel C, 45, for their 'incredible' and 'magical' set, others complained about the gig's 'wet' conditions and 'terrible' audio issues again (tweets pictured right), which caused angered viewers to leave the show prematurely.

Heart-breaking photo of helpless blonde seal being strangled by fishing net that cuts into its neck exposes reality of plastic pollution in Britain
Photographer Geoff Smiith captured the distressing images while visiting the Horsey Gap in Norfolk. After spotting the seal, Mr Smith contacted a local wildlife charity who hope to release the net. Mr Smith said: 'Mr Smith, from Ipswich said: 'You could see that the seal's neck was cut and that the seal had grown since getting tangled in the netting. It's a tragedy that waste has been a blight on wildlife caused by our carelessness and laziness, both of which can be avoided by raising awareness and educating people and industry on the real consequences of their actions.'
The village leaving lycra louts in a spin: Idyllic lanes that run through an exclusive Shropshire village are loved by cycling clubs, but one fed up local is laying them with BOOBY TRAPS
PAUL BRACCHI: Fed up locals have thrown tacks along the country lanes in Badger, Shropshire, in a bid to stop cyclists passing through the village. Hostilities have centred on the single-track lane, just 12ft wide, which runs though Badger, where parish council chairman Terry Lipscombe, 73, made a sinister discovery. Every weekend for the past month he has found a ‘carpet’ of drawing pins strewn across the road surface. ‘On one occasion, I got down on my hands and knees with my wife and spent an hour picking them up,’ he explained. The route, Mr Lipscombe knew at once, had been booby-trapped. The pins were the DIY equivalent of a police stinger device, a spiked strip used to shred the tyres of fleeing criminals. The targets this time were cyclists — ‘Lycra louts’ in the eyes of many residents — who have been accused of clogging lanes by riding two and three abreast, pedalling dangerously fast and being abusive when challenged.
Hunt for racist female driver filmed shouting 'p*** trash' at school-run mother, 30, in front of her eight-year-old son
This is the shocking moment that a woman admitted hurling vile racist abuse at a mother-of-two in Birmingham. The footage emerged after the 30-year-old victim confronted the driver at the school gates. In the video, the woman can be heard saying 'yeah I did' when asked if she'd used the slur 'P*** trash'. It came after two incidents in which the driver branded her 'inadequate' and 'not fit to be a mother'.
Jeremy Kyle researchers 'smoked cannabis with guests, gave them alcohol for "medicinal purposes" and fuelled conflict behind the scenes', new documentary claims
Former producers of the axed ITV show claimed guests with drugs problems were 'encouraged to visit dealers on their way to film at the Manchester studio' in a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary that aired tonight. Other anonymous members of staff said members of the production team had 'smoked cannabis with guests in their hotel rooms' and given others alcohol for 'medicinal purposes'. Former participant Dwayne Davison (right), once dubbed the show's 'most hated guest', claimed he was locked in a room for 10 hours without his phone before being sent on stage, while staff also claimed new workers were taught how to wind up guests by establishing a rapport with them in a process called 'Talking Up'. ITV has denied the claims and insisted no wrong-doing took place on the show. The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed following the suspected suicide of Steven Dymond days after he failed a lie detector test over allegations of infidelity (inset, Kyle with girlfriend Vicky Burton in Barbados).

Briton refuses to turn up to court in Paris over the murder of French film producer's wife in Ireland 23 years ago - fearing he will be the victim of a 'farcical show trial'
Ian Bailey (right), 60, fears he could be extradited to France if a 'show trial' convicts him of bludgeoning Sophie Toscan du Plantier (right) to death at her Irish holiday home (inset) in 1996. He was twice arrested by the Irish Gardai in connection with the murder but was released without charge, and the Director of Public Prosecutions has since decided that Bailey should not be prosecuted. Several key witnesses, as well as Bailey, are staying away from the trial that is going ahead through a French law that allows prosecutions against attackers of the country's citizens overseas.
Landowner blocks entrance to beauty spot quarry with 60 tons of slate after becoming fed-up with visitors 'trashing' the site after it was named as 'secret' destination online
Allan Titley has sealed off the only entrance (left, and top-right) to Gwynedd's Blue Lake in North Wales after growing sick of the sight of dirty nappies, discarded clothing and bags of dog excrement (bottom-right, cushions dumped at the site). The 70-year-old says tourists have blighted the area owing to a surge in popularity due to online reviews of the 'secret' location. He has closed off the flooded quarry after accusing visitors of having no respect for the countryside.

Sheila Walker, 60, (left and right) and her Yorkshire Terrier Banna (left) are on the same journey of survival as they both require constant medical attention, treatment and tests. The 60-year-old said she has the disease in her right breast, her bones and spine. Banna's cancer is on the right side of its body and is also in its spine. The pair live in Leeds where Ms Walker is undergoing the carbon trial for breast cancer under the care of Prof Chris Twelves, consultant in clinical oncology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
Labour life peer pays off £90,000 debt for his drug-dealer grandson who was jailed after supplying Class A narcotics at party in his flat where Geordie Shore star Aimee Spencer fell to her death
Daniel Lewis, 31, (pictured right in a police interview) earned almost £100,000 selling party drugs from his Brighton flat (pictured inset bottom) where Geordie Shore star Aimee Spencer (pictured left) fell to her death. He was jailed for three years in January and has been ordered by the court to pay back his illegal profits. Now his grandfather, Lord Gus Macdonald, (pictured inset top) has paid off £90,000 - despite Lewis himself owning assets worth more than £400,000. The Labour life-peer agreed to cover the cash following an investigation under Proceeds of Crime laws, rules designed to take illegal profits away from criminals to fund good causes.
Female competitor is injured as daredevils fling themselves down hill in annual Cheese Rolling Race in death-defying bid to win 8lb wheel of Double Gloucester
Brave competitors sprinted, tripped and tumbled down Cooper's Hill (pictured left and top right) in Brockworth, Gloucestershire to try and win the 8lb Double Gloucester. The recent dry weather had made the racetrack hard and even faster for the competitors who were cheered on by thousands of spectators. The winner of the first men's downhill race was Max McDougall, 22, from Brockworth, who won for the first time as champion cheese chaser Chris Anderson, 31, who has the record of 22 wins over the past 15 years did not compete as he was on holiday. The women's race was won by Flo Early, 28, who picked up a Double Gloucester for the fourth time, after winning in 2008, 2016 and 2018, but also managed to sprain her ankle in the process (bottom right). One competitor was stretchered off the course with a suspected fractured ankle after falling during the second race. (pictured bottom right)
British climber reveals how he was forced to push past 100 people to survive as his oxygen began to run out after he scaled overcrowded Everest
Martin Hewitt, 38, said he was forced to pass more than 100 climbers on the way up Mount Everest. The former paratrooper said his group had to overtake people to not run out of oxygen. The experienced mountaineer wrote that the group had to 'push ourselves hard' and that 'all our training, preparation and teamwork paid off'. He added that they were forced to overtake climbers, because many of them were ill-prepared for the climb. The queues witnessed by Mr Hewitt have become commonplace over the past two weeks on Mount Everest. Eleven have died in the past nine days on the mountain.

Cheers! Teetotaller Trump grimaces as he lifts a glass of champagne to his lips - but doesn't drink - to toast the Japanese emperor before a six-course banquet at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo
President Donald Trump and first lady Melania are enjoying a six-course meal at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, where they are the first foreign guests of the Japanese emperor and empress (enter). It is their second visit to Japan since they entered the White House. Their first visit to Tokyo came two years ago under the new emperor's father. President Trump toasted Emperor Naruhito and welcomed a new era of Japanese history and culture, known as the Reiwa period, in a dinner speech. The teetotal president was poured a glass of what looked like Champagne (top right) and he politely lifted the glass to his lips, but grimaced and did not take a sip (left and center. At other state banquets, servers have filled his glass with Diet Coke as a substitute for red wine, and he is often known to drink grape juice instead of white wine and Champagne.
