Exactly one week after the epic series finale, HBO took fans behind-the-scenes of the final season with a two-hour documentary titled Game of Thrones: The Last Watch.

The documentary showcased the legions of crew members and unsung cast members who have helped bring the show to life over the past eight seasons, taking fans to production hubs such as Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Dubrovnik, Croatia, two of the primary locations the show was filmed in.

There is also dramatic footage from a table read with the entire cast, showing the actors react to some of the series' biggest surprises as executive producer Bryan Cogman read the action lines.

Director David Nutter, who directed the first, second and fourth episodes, is seen in the crypts of Winterfell.

'I'm a conductor of fine musicians who basically just waves my arms around,' Nutter said about his crew.

Nutter is also one of the few on Game of Thrones who gets paper scripts, since everyone else getting digital scripts.

During the ninth week of night shoots (of 11), they filmed the death of Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), during the Battle of Winterfell.
