SNL alum Chris Kattan has sensationally claimed that he felt coerced into sleeping with the director of A Night At The Roxbury in a bid to keep her tied to the production.
In his new memoir, Baby Don't Hurt Me: Stories and Scars from Saturday Night Live, Kattan accuses SNL boss Lorne Michaels of pressuring him to have sex with Amy Heckerling - who was the preferred choice to helm the comedy film.
Kattan, who was part of the 'golden generation' of SNL talent alongside Will Ferrell, says he initially refused but eventually ended up having sex with Heckerling in her office on what he described as the 'casting couch.'
However, according to Decider.com, a source said Kattan's version of events are false.

At the time, Clueless' Heckerling was attached to direct and Kattan claims that one night while working late, she asked him if they were going to have sex.

The next day Kattan said he received a call from Michaels, who had signed on to produce the feature.
He claims Michaels said Paramount would only do the production if Heckerling was signed on as director, and if he 'wanted to make sure the movie happened, then [he] had to keep Amy happy.'
According to Kattan, Michaels added: 'Chris, I'm not saying you have to f*** her, but it wouldn't hurt.'
'That seemed insane,' Kattan said of Michaels' warnings. Adding that he was also warned to keep the suggestion from co-star Ferrell 'or anybody else.'
He claims that a few weeks later, having shared a kiss with her at a post-party, the pair eventually had sex on her office couch.
He wrote: 'The last thing I wanted was to have someone hear Lorne say 'career ender' about me. To this day, whenever I think about that conversation with Lorne, I still feel repellingly pathetic.'
'She thought it would be fun to have sex on Lorne's desk,' he said.
'I said a polite 'F***, no!' to that', so we ended up going to her office and having sex on… yep, you guessed it, the 'casting couch.''
He added: 'I was attracted to Amy, but at the same time very afraid of the power she and Lorne wielded over my career.'

Heckerling ended up not directing the film, but is credited as a producer.

Elsewhere in the memoir Kattan discussed his opioid addiction, sparked by injuring his neck on set of SNL.
'It was embarrassing,' he wrote. He said his arm muscles atrophied and his nerve endings were so severely damaged it required multiple surgeries to fix.
'Years ago it was a different era and a faux pas to open up about stuff,' he added. 'I wanted to keep working.'
Kattan says his injury also led to his opioid addiction. 'It was a tough fight,' he said. 'You feel blessed when you come through that. I hope readers get from the book that life is worth it.'
