The late Stan Lee's former business manager, Keya Morgan, was arrested on elder abuse charges in Arizona Saturday morning, TMZ reports.

It was 10 months after a restraining order was issued against him and six months after the Marvel legend died of heart failure at 95 years old.

Lee's lawyer accuses Morgan of mishandling more than $5million of his money stemming back a year. The attorney claimed Morgan severely physically and emotionally injured Lee.

Morgan faces grand theft charges stemming from $262,000 that was collected from autograph signing sessions in May 2018 that Lee never received.

In February 2018, Lee's daughter J.C. became embroiled in a battle after the writer signed a declaration that his caregiver Jerry Olivarez and her attorney Kirk Schenck, alongside Morgan attempted to take advantage of J.C. to gain access to his assets.

But Lee later appeared in a video filmed by Morgan stating the allegations were not true.

Morgan was later accused of trying to keep Lee away from his family by moving him to undisclosed locations. Documents state Lee was taken from his Hollywood Hills home to a secured condo in Beverly Hills in June 2018.

Last July a court demanded Morgan stay 100 yards away from the legend behind Marvel.

It was after in June  2018 police and Adult Protective Services conducted a welfare check on Lee keeping Morgan out of the property. But Morgan called cops claiming three strangers were in the home and it led to his arrest for making false 911 calls, which police say was a tactic to convince Lee he was in danger.

Between May 7 and June 10 Morgan is alleged to have 'knowingly and wilfully' put him in a situation 'where his health was endangered'. It's alleged Morgan caused 'unjustifiable physical pain and mental suffering'.

The same year Lee had filed a billion dollar lawsuit against POW Entertainment claiming they stole his name and took advantage of him. Lee also claimed in 2018 that a former business stole his blood, filled pens with it and used it to stamp comic books to make money.

Lee died in November 2018 from natural causes. The comic book creator had been in possession of a large estate worth around $50million. His wife Joan had passed away in 2017.

Then two weeks ago in a Los Angeles court, Morgan was charged with one count of false imprisonment - elder adult; three counts of grand theft from elder or dependent adult, special aggravated white collar crime loss of over $100k; and one count of elder or dependent adult abuse.

This weekend Morgan was finally taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Bail has been set at $300,000 as Morgan awaits extradition to Los Angeles.

Morgan was charged earlier this month with felony allegations of theft, embezzlement, forgery or fraud against an elder adult, and false imprisonment of an elder adult.

Authorities said Morgan sought to manipulate and exert control over Lee even though he did not have authority to act on Lee's behalf.

Morgan's lawyer Alex Kessel has said Morgan has never abused or taken advantage of Lee.
