A woman whose home was stormed by four thugs during a two-day crime spree over the weekend claims she was held at knifepoint with her husband and 65-year-old mother-in-law, as the teenagers demanded cash and car keys.  'The ordeal lasted about 30 minutes, and we thought we were gonna get killed or stabbed,' she tearfully claimed on Wednesday.  The woman, who used the name Jane, said the group entered holding sharp knives and stole more from her kitchen to arm themselves. 

Brain surgeon Charlie Teo has hit back at doctors criticising his expensive medical procedures, saying he would perform surgeries for free if they 'swallowed their egos'. The Sydney-based neurosurgeon defended his practices during a fiery exchange with Today host Georgie Gardner on Wednesday morning (left). After his live cross, Dr Teo headed to his surgery to operate on 12-year-old Amelia 'Millie' Lucas (pictured together right), who had been given '12 weeks to live', however, the procedure was postponed until next week due to the unavailability of an ICU bed. Amelia's parents crowdfunded $156,000 to cover her bills after Dr Teo said she was a good candidate for surgery. Gardner questioned Dr Teo about the ethics of his high prices. He shot back telling the Nine Network presenter to get her 'facts straight' and said the bulk of his bill goes to the private hospital, not him.

She was slammed by The Voice fans back in 2017 for her 'bulls**t theatrics' while pressing the buzzer and turning her chair.  And it seems that Delta Goodrem is back to her old tricks. On Tuesday's show, the 34-year-old dramatically pressed the buzzer for contestant Molly Waters, standing up in her chair and flicking her hair back as she turned.

Devastated friends and family have paid tribute to AFL wife Anna Green (left and right with her husband) who died on Monday. A white female campground manager in Mississippi has been fired after she was filmed pulling a gun on a black couple who say they were only trying to enjoy a picnic by a lake with their dog. Jessica Richardson filmed the woman approaching her and her husband with a gun at the Kampgrounds of America in Starkville, north-east of Jacksonville, on Sunday. The woman, who manages the campground, asked the couple to leave when she found out they didn't have a reservation. The couple claim they asked at the front desk and were told they didn't need to be staying at the campground to spend the day by Oktibbeha County Lake.

The heartwarming moment a mother-of-seven with terminal stage four breast cancer was surprised with a 30th birthday party and marriage proposal has been captured on video by her loving husband-to-be. Alisha Harrison, who was tragically diagnosed with cancer and underwent a mastectomy while pregnant, celebrated her birthday on May 23 surrounded by family, friends and her children. The courageous mother, from Georges Hall, New South Wales, thought she was just going out to dinner with her boyfriend Metin Salih and their youngest son Isaac when she was shocked with the surprise of a lifetime.

A heavily pregnant woman who was allegedly beaten and rammed into a power pole in a brutal unprovoked attack was targeted because she walked between a rowing couple.   Olivia Mahe is accused of hitting the victim, who is seven months pregnant, because she walked between her and her partner as they argued. The couple were fighting on Wentworth Avenue, in Surry Hills, at 9am on Tuesday morning, when Ms Mahe allegedly punched the victim in the head as she passed.

Mother-of-seven Constance Hall has decided to live stream a therapy session with her husband Denim Cooke to sort through 'the problems in our marriage' - just a day after celebrating their son's first birthday (all three inset). The 35-year-old Australian blogger, who married Denim in January, 2018, broke the news on Tuesday evening with a post complaining about Denim 'going off into his man cave' when they have an argument. 'When Denim and I argue or anything happens that he is uncomfortable with he goes into his man cave. And nothing I can do will draw him out of it. Shut down, lights off,' Constance (left and right with Denim), who is based in Perth, wrote in a Facebook post.

Kit Harington reportedly checked into a rehab facility in the U.S. to be treated for stress and alcohol use as the last season of Game of Thrones was airing. The 32-year-old British actor arrived at the luxury Privé-Swiss health retreat in Connecticut a month ago, sources told the New York Post. Harington, who starred as Jon Snow on the show for eight years, was reportedly undergoing treatment as the Game of Thrones finale was airing. DailyMail.com has reached out to Harington's publicist for comment. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (inset top right) moved into Frogmore Cottage, on the grounds of the Frogmore Estate in Windsor, in early May ahead of the birth of baby Archie. Today, royal fans (bottom left) were able to wander through the grounds of Frogmore House (top), allowing them to get a glimpse into the lives of Harry and Meghan. However, despite the beauty of the gardens, several visitors commented on the sound of planes flying overhead, with some wondering how the newborn royal manages to sleep with the constant noise. With Heathrow Airport nearby, 14 flights pass within a mile of the house every thirty minutes. Although visitors passed within 20 feet of Frogmore Cottage, the royal couple weren't spotted, with some saying they tried to 'peer into' the windows.

Thomas 'Tommy' Gilbert Jr, 34, is on trial for the murder of his father Thomas Gilbert Sr in January 2015 in a case that shocked New York's high society. He appeared in court Tuesday looking frail and thin - a stark contrast to the strapping and handsome man he once was. His mother Shelley Gilbert will testify against her son after her husband was shot while she was out getting her son a sandwich, at his request. The wealthy New York hedge fund boss had cut his son's $600 allowance by $200 and stopped paying his $2,400 a month rent. Shelley Gilbert instantly told police that she suspected her son Gilbert Jr was the killer, saying 'it was obvious he had done it'. Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is slated to produce a true crime film titled Gilded Rage about Gilbert Jr and the murder of his father.

Houses with a backyard are selling for less than $100,000 in a city with some of Australia's lowest unemployment. The far west of New South Wales has a jobless level of just 2.8 per cent, which is significantly below the national average of 5.2 per cent. The mining town of Broken Hill, also known as the 'silver city', has average annual unemployment levels that are comparable with some of Sydney's wealthiest suburbs, a CommSec analysis of Australian Bureau of Statistics data showed.

John Fisher, 36, from Ayr, Scotland, has been drawing since he was a small boy: 'Mainly wee dinosaurs, then doodling in my school jotters.' On leaving school he studied graphic design, but did not pursue it as a career because, ironically, 'it involved too much computer work and not enough personal input'. A career as a chef followed. His previous job - working weekends at his father's bistro in the North of Scotland - involved a four-and-a-half-hour commute each way from his home in Ayr. But it left him the rest of the week to draw. Since John went full-time as an artist a couple of years ago, his success has grown. There is a regular flow of commissions thanks to his Facebook page. His works are drawn using a variety of sharp pencils on fine-grained, hot press watercolour paper. An A4-sized portrait can take John 15 hours and will sell for hundreds of pounds.

The disgraced entertainer, 89 (pictured) was spotted clutching the arm of his female carer as they walked in Maidenhead, Berkshire yesterday morning before they got in a car and drove off. Yesterday was the first time Harris has been seen in public since he was banished from the grounds of a local primary school (pictured inset) where he spoke to a wood sculptor and waved at young pupils. His family allegedly put him under 'house arrest' after the 'disastrous' incident, which could have seen him back behind bars.

Rudy Napier was captured on camera giving birth to her fourth child in the front seat of car (shown at left) while being driven to the hospital, in a video recorded by her young son in Henderson, Nevada on Friday. Rudy's husband Mike Anthony Addison was driving while all three of their children (shown inset with their newborn) were in the back seat when their newest addition, Jolee Lavergne Addison, decided she couldn't wait to enter the world. Rudia's calm after the birth is incredible, as she pulls Jolee to her chest and calls out to each child in the back by name, making sure to include them in the experience. Researchers from the University of Bristol who simulated what the world looked like to animals found that preys of the tiger like deers are effectively colourblind and only pick up on blues and greens. Therefore they view the tiger as green (above left), which helps the predator camouflage and blends into their natural environment. Humans see a tiger with its natural markings (above right).

A brunette woman dubbed the Australian Meghan Markle said she constantly gets approached by strangers in public due to her striking resemblance to the stunning royal. With her glossy dark locks, sparkling smile and deep chestnut eyes, Bianca Burgdorf (left and right), 29, said she is constantly being told that she is the spitting image of Meghan Markle. The mum-of-one from Melbourne said she first heard about the actress-turned-royal after friends and family began telling her that she bore a striking resemblance to Rachel Zane - Meghan's character in the popular American legal drama Suits. And since then, the comparison has only snowballed.

A woman who was recovering from a late night flight awoke to the feeling of something 'flicking her face' - but when she opened her eyes she didn't expect to see a snake. Sally Stent (inset), from Brisbane, returned home at 2am and went to catch up on some sleep, not knowing a python was in her room. After five hours of being blissfully unaware of the snake's presence, Ms Stent was awoken, The Courier Mail reported.

A memoir by Nazi Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop's son has been released in English for the first time and includes unseen photos of the author growing up in London before the Second World War. Rudolf von Ribbentrop (pictured inset in Nazi uniform) went to the exclusive Westminster School while his father was Hitler's ambassador in London from 1936 to 1938. The elder von Ribbentrop was one of Hitler's closest henchmen and rose to become the Third Reich's Foreign Minister before being executed at Nuremburg in 1946 for helping orchestrate the Holocaust. His son went on to fight on both the Eastern and Western fronts and won the Iron Cross - before becoming a wine merchant after the war. He is still alive aged 98 today. His biography was first released in 2008 in German but has now been translated into English for the first time. Inside it several images, many of which have not been seen before, show the Ribbentrop's jovial-looking gatherings with Hitler (left) and the whole family posing for photos. But despite his bloody record, the killer says firing his gun has become a luxury with soaring inflation in President Nicolas Maduro's economy. 'You lose your pistol or the police take it and you're throwing away $800.'

The High Court today released documents that showed a breakdown of her spending by department, although it did not specify the exact items. Last year she became the first woman in the UK to be slapped with an Unexplained Wealth Order by the National Crime Agency demanding she reveal how she and disgraced banker husband Jahangir Hajiyev came by their vast wealth which allowed them to buy an £11.5million Knightsbridge home and a £10.5million Ascot golf club.
