Lamar Odom admits he's 'paid for plenty of abortions over the years' amid unprotected sexual encounters with up to six girls a week
Lamar Odom opens up about having paid for a number of abortions in his new tell-all, Darkness to Light.
'I would f*** five or six girls a week, but my demons tormented me on the one night I went home alone,' the 39-year-old, who played for 15 years in the NBA, said in his memoir. 'I needed women as an outlet … an escape.
'But this does not come without problems ... most of my sex has been unprotected, and I've paid for plenty of abortions over the years.'

The Queens, New York-born athlete, who played the majority of his career for both NBA Los Angeles franchises - the Clippers and Lakers - said that while everything was legal, he is not 'proud about [his trysts] at all.'
The 6ft10 Odom said that he 'used sex to fill the void' of grief left when his mother Cathy Mercer died when he was 12.

'I wanted to be loved, but I could never find love,' said the former NBA star, who also played stints for the Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat and New York Knicks.
Odom's marriage to Khloe Kardashian lasted from September 27, 2009 until Khloe filed for separation in December of 2013; the divorce was finalized in December of 2016.

In his book, Odom revealed how he once made threats against the famed reality star while he was under the influence of cocaine and ecstasy
'Khloé came down and knocked on the door,' he wrote. 'I opened it suddenly and grabbed her forcefully by the shoulders, which frightened her. "What the f*** are you doing?" I screamed, out of my mind. "You trying to embarrass me in front of my friends? I'll f–king kill you! You don't know what I'm capable of!"'
The couple had their own E! series titled Khloe and Lamar, and Khloe was quick to Lamar's side amid his health crisis after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October 2015.
