She's set to be making her TV comeback after 24 years in Netflix series What/If.

And Renee Zellweger certainly looked ready for action as she enjoyed a low-key dinner with her girlfriends at celeb haunt Craig's in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The esteemed actress, 49, showed off her timeless beauty in a toned-down ensemble comprising of a baggy grey jumper and distressed blue jeans while also showing off her incredibly smooth complexion.

Renee pounded the pavement in a pair of stylish tan brown boots, and toted her possessions in a chic midnight blue cross-body bag. 

The Bridget Jones star ditched any glitzy accessories for her night out, but shielded her eyes in a casual red baseball cap. 

Renee tucked back her trademark blonde tresses underneath the sporty hat, and allowed her fresh-faced glow to shine with minimal make-up.

The star's outing comes after it was confirmed she would appear on the small screen for the first time since starring in TV movie Shake, Rattle And Rock in 1994.

The Oscar winner will headline Netflix’s new original drama series What/If, the company announced on Friday.

The social thriller explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. 

Each season will tackle a different morality tale inspired by culturally consequential source material, and the power of a single fateful decision to change the trajectory of an entire life.

In the 10-episode first season Renee stars as Anne, a shrewd and mercurial San Francisco venture capitalist, according to Deadline Hollywood.  

The show comes from Revenge and Swingtown creator Mike Kelley and producer Robert Zemeckis.

Renee started her hugely successful career in TV, first starring in A Taste For Killing in 1992 and landing an uncredited role in mini-series Murder In The Heartland in 1993.

In Shake, Rattle And Rock, set in the Fifties, Renee starred as Susan, a teen who starts a small club where local kids can hang out and dance - much to the horror of their parents. 

She won an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Cold Mountain in 2004. 

Renee can next be seen in romantic drama Here And Now, a musical about a singer who gets a diagnosis that puts her life and dreams into perspective. It's due out on November 9.
