Tori Spelling enjoys a lunch break snooze on the set of BH90210 as it's claimed her diva demands drove writers to quit show

Tori Spelling was struggling with the early wake-up call on Wednesday as she got to work on the set of the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot.

The 46-year-old actress shared a snap on Instagram of her snoozing during her lunch break as she chilled out in a cabana on the Vancouver set of Fox's BH90210.

'Me during lunch after being on set since 5am...' the mother-of-five captioned the image of her reclining on a lounger in a bright yellow sundress.

Despite the long grueling day Tori seemed pleased with the filming location as she shared another photo from her poolside spot and wrote: 'filming in a cabana has it's [sic] perks...'

In another Instagram story the reality star could be seen getting her hair and makeup and done.

'Early morning glam...' she captioned the image which also showed the early time stamp of 5:29am.

A new report on Thursday is claiming that Tori is the reason several writers quit the show earlier this month.

Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith and several senior writers backed out of the show.

A report from Variety claimed that the writers left due to issues with unspecified stars, though another source claimed they were unhappy with an executive overseeing the series.

Paul Sciarrotta has been named the new showrunner along with series’ creators Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler.

RadarOnline writes that it was Tori's diva demands that triggered the major shakeup on the creative team.

An insider told the website that Tori didn't like the original premise which was supposed to show the cast in their real lives grappling with making the reboot of the 1990s show that shot them to stardom.

The Spelling It Like It Is author allegedly wanted the show to portray her like her original character Donna Martin, rich and glamorous, living in a mansion and enjoying all the trappings of an extravagant lifestyle.

'Tori didn’t want to portray her real life, which is being broke and on the D-list,' the source said, adding that Tori wanted to live in a big mansion in Beverly Hills and show the life she envisioned her character would be leading.

The actress apparently refused to budge on the subject and the writers felt they had no choice but to quit.

The writers have now reportedly been replaced.

'The script now is being written by writers who are taking direction from Tori and the cast and it has been a s**t show on set trying to make it work.' the insider said.

Tori and co-stars Ian Ziering and Jennie Garth were spotted on the set on Wednesday and other original castmates returning include Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris.

Fox has already announced the six-episode event series will premiere Thursday, August 7 to kick off the network's 2019-2020 TV season.

The BH90210 series isn't exactly a reboot, or a sequel, but more of a meta take on the franchise that brings back the original stars.

All of the original Beverly Hills 90210 stars will play heightened versions of themselves in the series, not their previous 90210 characters.

The show will feature all of the actors, having gone their separate ways in the 19 years since the series went off the air, who reunite when there is talk of a reboot.

Behind the scenes: It's being claimed that it's Tori's fault that the original writers quit the show. The actress is apparently demanding her life be portrayed as more glamorous than it is
