Jenna Bush Hager revealed that her father, former President George W. Bush, broke her Nirvana CD over his leg after hearing the lyrics to one particularly disturbing song on the album.

The 37-year-old Today host shared her story on the morning show Wednesday after her co-host Carson Daly explained that his 10-year-old son Jackson likes rap music, but 'it's tough' for him as a parent because of 'the bad words.'

'My dad was always so good about letting us listen to the music we wanted to,' Jenna said before recalling her father's displeasure over one of the first CDs she ever bought.

The former first daughter explained that she used her allowance to buy a Nirvana CD. Although she didn't remember which one it was, Carson suggested that it might have been the band's last album, 'In Utero,' which was released in 1993.

'There was a really bad song on it, which I'll tell you during commercial, but my dad heard it,' Jenna said. 'And my dad heard me playing it on my little Discman or whatever CD player.'

Carson had an inkling that he already knew what song his co-star was referring to and pointed out that he could understand why her dad was horrified at the time.

'Oh my gosh, if it's the song I am thinking of . . . the future leader of the free world listening to you listen to that. That’s terrifying,' he said.

'What'd he do?' he asked.

'He broke the CD over his leg,' Jenna said.

'Wow, really?' Carson responded.

'He never was mad like that,' she noted. 'But this particular song really encourages, you know, I mean to hear your little daughter listen to it, you know what I'm thinking of.'

Carson was sure he knew what title she was talking about at this point.

'I think any hardcore Nirvana fan could probably guess what the song is,' he said. 'It's two words, right?'

'Yes, you've got it,' she said.

Although Jenna never confirmed what song it was, Nirvana's controversial album 'In Utero' featured a song titled, 'Rape Me.'

She was a few months away from turning 12 years old when the popular grunge band released it's third and final album 1993, a year before frontman Kurt Cobain committed suicide.

Despite George W.'s visceral reaction to Jenna's Nirvana CD, she said he was relatively tolerant of her and her twin sister Barbara's musical tastes.

'Other than that, when we would drive, he would let me in our little minivan, put on, like the Green Day 'Dookie' CD and he would listen to it,' she said.

Jenna, who is pregnant with her third child, often talks about her family on the show, and the next day she revealed that she was once mistaken for another celebrity's daughter.

She explained that she and her husband Henry Hager went to an NFL game at the start of their marriage and made friends with some New York Giants fans.

'They were talking trash and I loved 'em,' Jenna said.

'And they turned around and were like, "You know who you look like? You look like the daughter of" — and I'm like, here it comes — "the daughter of Hulk Hogan."'

Although Jenna and Brooke Hogan both have blonde hair, she admitted that she was surprised by the comparison.

'Maybe I do look like her?' I don't really see it,' she said.

'That's the assessment of drunk guys tailgating in Jersey,' Carson joked.
