A 14-year-old boy (bottom right) who was allegedly driving a car before it crashed (inset) and killed a teen has been seen making gang signs and eating KFC from his hospital bed. The Waterford West teen and a 10-year-old girl (top right) who were both allegedly involved in stealing the car were pictured eating fast food at Queensland Children's Hospital on Friday. Jacob Hopkins (left), 14, was a passenger in the Mazda SUV that police said ran a red light speeding through Rothwell, north of Brisbane, at 4pm on Wednesday.  

The Umbrella hitmaker, 31, caused turmoil on Twitter when she spoke her name in a video posted by the publication from her Fenty pop-up store in Paris last Thursday. In the clip, she said 'Hello British Vogue, it's Rihanna' - pronouncing her name 'Ree-Anna' rather than 'Ree-Ah-Na'. This greatly confused fans in the US, who commonly refer to the songstress by the second, and apparently incorrect, variation.

Estate agent Laura-Ann, from Belfast, shared a video with her 64,000 Instagram followers of her breaking royal protocol by handing a bunch of flowers to Her Majesty at the event at Buckingham Place on Wednesday. NEW Sydney technician Nic Beed used a metal tape measure to knock the bottle cap off a Peroni in a clip that has taken the internet by storm. In the clip Mr Beed precisely recoiled the tape measure's metal hook to lever the seal with such force that it was sent flying into the air.The original clip was posted to Mr Beed's Facebook on March 31 where it kept a low profile until Thursday. 'Nic Beed only got 50 likes for this ripper. We thought he deserved more,' Triple J hosts Ben and Liam posted.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was not afraid to get her hands dirty at a country show today. The royal, 47, flipped burgers (left) and got up close and personal with a cow (inset) on a visit to the Roskilde Animal Show near Copenhagen. Dressed in a practical yet stylish beige trench coat with a pair of bottle green velvet trousers, Mary appeared in good spirits as she made her way around the show's stalls (right).

A topless waitress who boasted about selling drugs with her boyfriend and making $50,000 a week is appealing her 14-month prison term. Nateesha Jennifer Barlin, 24, will fight the sentence after it was handed down to her at court in Gosford, on the New South Wales Central Coast, on Thursday. Magistrate Peter Barnett sentenced her to 14 months' jail with a six month non-parole period after she pleaded guilty to concealing a serious indictable offence, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Police involved in the first searches for NSW toddler William Tyrrell found suspected human hair and blood in dense bushland, documents released by the coroner reveal. The boy in the Spiderman suit was three years old when he vanished from his foster grandmother's property on Benaroon Drive at Kendall, on the mid north coast, in September 2014. A Sydney inquest in March heard from the first people on the scene and William's biological and foster families.

The 700,000-year-old Sicilian volcano began erupting at 3am local time following an increase in seismic activity over the last week. Incredible images captured the moment plumes of volcanic ash were launched into the air (pictured left) and molten lava trickled down the side of Europe's most active volcanoes. A huge column of gas could also be seen over the 24-mile wide volcano (right), which is located in the city of Catania, between both Messina and Catania. The eruption did not affect nearby Catania airport and flights continued as normal.

Kim Jong-un (top with Donald Trump) executed his envoy to the U.S. by firing squad at an airport near Pyongyang for 'betraying the supreme leader' over the failed Hanoi summit, South Korean media has reported. Four other unnamed officials were also killed in the purge. Kim Hyok Chol (left, during the Hanoi summit), who accompanied Kim on his private train as nuclear envoy at the Vietnam summit with Trump, was shot in March at Mirim Airport for being 'won over to the US,' during the nuclear negotiations, Chosun Ilbo reported. He was along with four senior foreign ministry officials following an investigation,' a source told South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo. Another senior official, Kim Yong Chol ( circled left next to Trump), who had been in nuclear discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was sent to a forced labour camp for ideological re-education. Kim Song Hye (circled right), a woman who worked with Kim Hyok Chol in talks with Pompeo was reportedly sent to another prison camp. US President Donald Trump (left with wife Melania, pictured this week) will arrive for an official state visit on Monday ahead of 75th D-Day anniversary. On Monday he will meet the Queen and will be shown items from the Royal Collection and later visit Westminster Abbey to lay a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior. Charles and Camilla will host Mr Trump and the First Lady for tea at Clarence House followed by a state banquet at Buckingham Palace that evening where both the Queen and Mr Trump will make speeches. The state banquet has taken six months to plan and will see guests sit down in Buckingham Palace's ballroom wearing tiaras and white tie to eat from priceless dinner sets. Surrounding the U-shaped table will be 19 stations, each manned by four members of staff - a page, footman, under butler and a wine butler. On Tuesday Mr Trump will have a business breakfast with Theresa May and others at St James’s Palacebefore the First Couple host Charles and Camilla, representing the royal family, at the official resident of the US Ambassador, Winfield House. Actor Magda Szubanski was among hundreds of mourners who attended a vigil for Courtney Herron on Friday evening in the Melbourne park where her body was found.  Speaking to The Project after the vigil Ms Szubanski compared the recent spate of horrific violent crimes against women in Melbourne to gun violence in the United States.  'I don't like that phrase 'toxic masculanity' because we're all in this together and we need to find solutions, because the rate of this, it's almost to to the point now where it's our version of mass shootings,' the 58-year-old actor said. 

Tammy Lawrence-Daley relived the horrifying hours of her January attack during an interview with CBS This Morning in her first public appearance. 'It's very difficult, very difficult reliving,' Lawrence-Daley said . 'I could hear footfalls behind me. And before I could turn around, he plowed into the back of me.' The 51-year-old had been on vacation with her husband at the Majestic Elegance Resort in the Dominican Republic when she says that she went out alone to get a snack at 10.30pm.

Pilates instructor Katie Surridge (right) alleges the retail mogul repeatedly touched her inappropriately at the luxury Canyon Ranch (inset) in Arizona. The Pima County Attorney’s Office revealed he faces allegations that could see him jailed or fined. Deputy county attorney Lauren Deakin said: 'Philip Green has been formally charged with four misdemeanour assault counts’ of ‘knowingly touching another person with the intent to injure, insult, or provoke’.

Eleven-time world champion Kelly Slater, 47, has posted the highest score so far at this year's Margaret River Pro to move into the third round. The jury in the trial of the four people alleged to have been members of banned neo-Nazi terrorist group National Action has been discharged after failing to reach verdicts in the case. Alice Cutter (pictured main image and inset), 22, and her ex partner Mark Jones (pictured holding a gun bottom right), 24, both of, Sowerby Bridge, near Halifax, West Yorkshire, deny being members of the far-right group National Action, after it was banned at the end of 2016. Two other men, Garry Jack, 23, from Shard End, Birmingham, West Midlands and 18-year-old Connor Scothern, of Nottingham, have also pleaded not guilty to the same charge. A group of young baseball players in Iowa enjoyed a game with a tornado raging in the background on Tuesday. Video footage shows the shocking moment the Minors City Little League played catch in a field as a parent recorded it all. The team in Montezuma seemed relatively unfazed and continued to play as a funnel cloud formed behind them. 

A Clearwater resident woke up to noises at 3am to find a gigantic alligator in her kitchen (pictured). The reptile shattered a low window to break in and left a path of destruction in its wake, including smashed wine bottles and a broken table. Incredible photos show the beast flashing its sharp teeth inside the house. A trapper later safely captured the unwanted visitor.

A mother bobcat and her litter of kittens have been caught playing with a rooftop camera. The adorable video shows the playful kittens inspecting the camera as they play on a rooftop in the US state of Arizona. The homeowner from Tucson said that this was becoming an annual occurrence. He even hypothesised that the mother in the video was born on his roof last year.

Grandparents Peter and Chris Lloyd, from Cumbria, embarked on the epic 18-month journey after deciding to 'do something a bit different' in retirement. The married couple of 37 years nourished themselves with local delicacies and spent most nights inside a tiny tent pitched wherever they could find shelter. At the end of their journey, the unconventional pair from near Carlisle in Cumbria didn't fly home but instead opted to book a cabin inside a 400m-long container ship. A video taken at the Jinguang Elementary School in Datong City, China shows a pupil with his head stuck in between two concrete pillars. It is unclear how exactly the child was able to fit into the tiny space in the first place. However, what is clear is that the small school pupil is in a state of emotional distress. In the video, he is helped by firefighters that are using a car jack to increase the space between the two pillars.
