Mindy Kaling reunites with ex-boyfriend and The Office co-star B.J. Novak at Late Night premiere
Mindy Kaling reunited with her close friend, ex-boyfriend and The Office co-star B.J. Novak at the world premiere of Kaling's new film Late Night.
Kaling, 39, and Novak, 39, were all smiles on the red carpet at the premiere, which was held at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
Kaling, who wrote the script, stars in and produces Late Night, also posed with her co-star Ike Barinholtz and director Nisha Ganatra.

Novak and Kaling met while starring in and writing on The Office in 2005, and they both dated off and on throughout their tenure on the show, and Novak is the godfather of her daughter.

Late Night marks Kaling's feature film writing debut, after writing for The Office and creating the hit shows The Mindy Project and Champions.
Late Night follows a legendary talk show host (Emma Thompson), the only female late night talk show host, who worries about losing her show.
In an effort to shake things up, she hires her first female writer (Kaling) in an effort to attract a new audience.

The film will debut with a limited release rollout in Los Angeles and New York City on June 7, with a nationwide release following on June 14.
Late Night will go up against the X-Men movie Dark Phoenix and The Secret Life of Pets 2 on June 7 and Shaft and Men In Black International on June 14.

She most recently starred in Ocean's Eight and A Wrinkle in Time on the big screen last year.
