Queen's Roger Taylor uses a pole and shoots an AIRGUN at jellyfish whilst on a boat ride with his wife and children during sun-soaked holiday in Spain

Roger Taylor and his family were seen trying to catch jellyfish during a sun-soaked trip in Formentera, Spain, on Thursday.

The Queen drummer, 69, had stepped out onto a boat with his wife SarinaPotgieter, 47, and his children Rufus, 28, Tiger-Lily, 25, and Lola, 19, when they came across a swarm of the sea creatures.

And after trying to catch one of the marine creatures using a long pole, the musician then opted to use an airgun that was given to him by the captain of the ship.

Roger wasn't the only one to try and shoot the fish out of water, as Rufus and Lola also took the air-gun in hand and aimed at the jellyfish.

Rufus, who has followed in his dads footsteps by making a name for himself as the drummer of The Darkness, also used the long pole to try and catch fish.

Before they tried to shoot the sea creatures, Roger and his family took pictures of them as they roamed around the boat.

Earlier this year, Roger and Queen bandmate Brian May were at the Oscars to celebrate the success of biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

'It was great, it was interesting, we were swimming out of our pond. Yeah, open the Oscars that's something I never thought I would do,' Roger told Good Morning Britain the morning after.

On Rami winning best actor, he said: 'He was amazing, he has a great intensity. He has had a clean sweep of all the awards. Good for him, he's such a great guy. He has a lot of Freddie's qualities… he's floating on air. It's been a great night.'

Roger continued: '[Rami] got really close spiritually, he had it in the eyes and everything, he was different in the body...physically he was different to Freddie but he was incredible in the role, that intensity.'

When GMB host Piers Morgan pointed out that some critics suggested the film didn't delve deep enough into Mercury's troubled life, Roger defended the movie, pointing out: 'I want to be touched and uplifted [by film], and hopefully that's what it did. We didn't shy away from anything.'

The film, a dramatised account of the band's rise to prominence culminating in their legendary performance at Live Aid in 1986, scored Best Actor for lead Rami Malek, Best Achievement in Film Editing,Best Achievement in Sound Editing, and Best Achievement in Sound Mixing.
