TALK OF THE TOWN: Fergie’s knockout medieval-style gown goes up for auction at a knockdown price

Seems Sarah Ferguson is still very much in the shadow of Diana – even when it comes to the market in old clothes.

A medieval-style gown, right, and a blue velvet cloak, left, worn by Fergie for the infamous 1987 TV charity event It’s A Royal Knockout, are up for auction, for £300 each.

The sale also has three of Diana’s 1980s outfits, each with estimates of £30,000. Another of her dresses sold for more than £160,000 last year.

The London sale includes dresses worn by the Queen and Princess Margaret, which are expected to raise up to £15,000.

She appeared on it for only a year… but did Rachel Riley quit The Gadget Show because of sexism?

Without mentioning any show, the Countdown star, 33, revealed she was once forced to leave a job after being treated differently to male counterparts.

Rachel told the Football, Feminism & Everything In Between podcast: ‘It was a couple of the backroom people rather than presenters. I didn’t want myself portrayed in a certain way, or words put in my mouth or be treated where I could see it being different to other presenters.’

Awkward!
