Pals of the star aren't sure whether the couple are still spending time together.

'Violating the court order puts both of them in jeopardy. They could both get in serious trouble,' the insider says.

'If it’s not Hayden, it will be someone else,' they told Us Weekly.

'Her friends check in with her. But when she wants privacy, no one can do anything.'

Hickerson was charged by the L.A. County District Attorney's Office with one felony count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant or girlfriend and could face up to four years in prison.

He pleaded not guilty during an arraignment last month when the judge issued a protective order. He is forbidden from coming within 100 yards of the Heroes star.

The 30-year-old cannot reach out to his girlfriend via phone calls or emails and is also banned from possessing firearms.

'He hit her on the face, causing her to get dizzy,' the prosecutor said at the arraignment on Thursday.

The District Attorney claimed there were other unreported incidents of domestic violence in the relationship.

Hayden appeared to be standing by her man as the couple stepped out together in shortly after the incident matching necklaces.

Hickerson's arrest came after a night of drinking on May 2 which saw the actress initially appear with red marks on her neck before it was later discovered that the injuries were more serious than originally believed.

It was reported at the time that Hayden's friends and family are 'more worried than ever' for her safety after the incident, according to People.

Police noticed 'redness and marks' on Hayden's body and arrested Brian at the couple's house around 2 a.m. after the pair came home from a night of drinking.

'Hayden knows Brian has a bad temper and can be controlling, but there is an extreme attraction to it,' a source said. 'And despite warnings from family and friends, the relationship seems solid.'

TMZ reported that Brian posted a $50,000 bond and was released later in the day. Sources said: 'Brian's reputation as a party boy is no secret in Hollywood. Those close to Hayden are more worried than ever about this and his temper.'

'Hayden is taken with him,' the source said. 'She thinks he is what she needs in her life now.' Hickerson was involved in another domestic dispute with his father David last fall and Hayden was present during the time.

Lending advice to anyone else going through the same thing, she said: '[Going to rehab/treatment] doesn’t make you a bad person, doesn’t make you a bad mother. It makes you a very strong, resilient woman. You’ve just got to let it make you stronger.'

The two time Golden Globe nominee has been taking a break from acting following the finale of Nashville, which wrapped up in 2018.

Before playing a country diva on the ABC-turned-CMT series, Hayden got her start on daytime TV as a child with appearances on One Life To Live and Guiding Light.

Her star continued to rise in the mid 2000s with her role as cheerleader Claire Bennet on the NBC sci-fi series Heroes.
