Taking to the stage at the event on Sunday, just hours before his State Visit to U.K., the Commander-in-chief gushed over the First Lady, claiming she was extremely popular with the American public.
'I want to thank all of the chairs of the Gala, including your honorary co-chair, America's beloved First Lady,' he cooed, gesturing to the FLOTUS as she sat smiling in the crowd.
'I'd love to have her poll numbers! Where do I get her poll numbers?' the President quipped, before speaking to Melania directly and stating: 'They do love you!'
