The karaoke fanatic, identified as 41-year-old Doris Vallejo-Godoy, is said to have been with her girlfriend at the La Catedral del Marisco in Southeast Austin at approximately 1am on Sunday
Texas authorities say that a woman pulled a gun on a man at a Mexican restaurant while the pair argued over who would be up next for karaoke.
The karaoke fan, identified as 41-year-old Doris Vallejo-Godoy, is said to have been with her girlfriend at the La Catedral del Marisco in Southeast Austin at approximately 1am on Sunday.
According to an arrest affidavit, the confrontation occurred over the karaoke machine at the eatery.
Vallejo-Godoy told police that she tried to calm the man down by brandishing the pistol. She claimed that he had been calling her various names, the Statesmen reports.
The man told police that the woman struck him in the face soon after the argument began. He added that Vallejo-Godoy then pulled her gun out and pointed it directly at him.
A waitress at the bar tried to restrain Vallejo-Godoy after she pulled the gun on the man but the woman is said to have held the pistol toward her stomach
A waitress attempted to restrain the woman by pinning her arms but Vallejo-Godoy was able to break free, the arrest affidavit states.
She is said to have then held the gun to the waitress' stomach before stating 'I will (expletive) kill you.'
Vallejo-Godoy's girlfriend was eventually able to calm her down and the two paid their bill before attempting to leave. Police arrived and detained the woman at that time.

Vallejo-Godoy was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a concealed weapon.
She was taken to the Travis County Correctional Complex in Del Valle on Monday. Her bail has been set at $60,000.
