RHOA's Apollo Nida released from prison and now in halfway house after serving five years for bank fraud and identity theft

The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Apollo Nida has been released from prison after serving five years for bank fraud and identity theft.   

OK! has reported Apollo is now at a halfway house in Philadelphia following his release from Fort Dix Correctional Facility in New Jersey. 

Apollo, who was previously married to RHOA star Phaedra Parks, was sentenced to eight years in 2014 after pleading guilty to laundering in excess of $2.3 million.

Apollo was charged with mail, wire, and bank fraud in 2014, and accepted all of the charges against him.   

Apollo was supposed to be released from prison in August 2020, after a judge shaved off a year from his sentence in March. 

According to prison records obtained by OK!, Apollo is set to be released from the halfway house on October 15, 2019. 

While incarcerated, Apollo became engaged to Pennsylvania realtor Sherien Almufti.

Sherien was featured shopping for her wedding dress on a recent episode of Say Yes To The Dress.

Apollo's marriage to Phaedra officially ended in 2017.

The couple were married for eight years and had two sons Ayden, nine, and Dylan, five, together. 

Apollo previously served almost five years of an 18-year sentence in prison for racketeering, according to public records.   

He was convicted on July 28, 2004 and was released on May 27, 2009.
