Jack Satterfield III, a truck driver from Mississippi, pleaded guilty to several charges, including homicide by vehicle while driving drunk and leaving an accident scene.

The 29-year-old McComb man does not have a plea deal with Dauphin County prosecutors, meaning he faces a lengthy prison term when he’s sentenced later this year.

Following the hearing, the district attorney released a 20-second dashboard camera recording from Satterfiled's vehicle showing his tractor-trailer plowing into slowed or stopped traffic near a construction zone on Interstate 83 at 9.30pm on October 12, 2018.

The mass crash in Lower Paxton involved 12 vehicles and killed 24-year-old Zachary Lybrand, of Middletown; his 16-month-old daughter, Elliana, and 22-year-old Ethan Van Bochoven, a senior at Messiah College majoring in music.

Authorities say Satterfield had consumed eight alcoholic drinks earlier in the day.

Jessica Lybrand, Zachary's wife and Elliana's mother, on Facebook harshly criticized the decision to release the video showing the tractor-trailer smashing into her family's 1996 Eagle Vision and killing her loved ones.

'Im [sic] broken,' the young widow wrote in a post. 'It feels like they died all over again, and [Satterfield] couldn't say anything loud enough for ANYONE to hear he was guilty. He took his glasses off because he couldn't stand to see the pictures of my family and I.'

Jessica was present in the courtroom for Satterfield's plea, clutching a blown-up photo of her deceased daughter, and erupted in wails when the dashcam video was shown on the screen, reported PennLive.

'She was staring right at you!' she yelled at the defendant, referring to baby Elliana who would have been strapped into her rear-facing car seat when the tractor-trailer smashed into Zachary's sedan.

The father and daughter died of smoke inhalation and burns, according to Press and Journal.

In the aftermath of the collision, Satterfield climbed out of his mangled truck through a window without his shoes, crossed the interstate, climbed a high fence and blended into a crowd of onlookers standing in a nearly parking lot.

He was arrested after a police officer spotted him limping or staggering away in his socks.

Satterfield admitted that he had downed three large double shot Margaritas and a beer at a Mexican restaurant in New Jersey. Inside the cab of his truck police found an empty six-pack of beer and Jagermeister.

Three hours after the collision, Satterfield's blood alcohol content was nearly twice the legal limit.

Satterfield faces up to 81 years in prison when he is sentenced on August 6.
