Alex Rodriguez calls now-fiancee Jennifer Lopez his 'dream date' in two-decade old throwback clip

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have head-over-heels for one another since first getting together in two-years ago.

But it seems like the baseball MVP has had his eyes on the triple threat for quite some time, at least according to a throwback clip shared on his Instagram Wednesday.

Asked what his 'dream date' would be, the then 23-year-old confidently blurted out 'Jennifer Lopez' with a smile.

Continuing, the baby-faced athlete told the cameras: 'Hopefully you can find me a date with her.'

'I just had a feeling [laughing with tears emoji],' A-Rod, now 43, captioned his clip. 

The former NY Yankee also tagged MLB network for digging up the video, which they originally captioned saying '@arod always knew.'

The Medicine songstress seemed equally as smitten with her other half earlier this week as they attended the annual CFDA Awards in New York.

She shared a flirty compliment about A-Rod's suit while chatting with People on the red carpet, telling the outlet: 'I love Alex in a suit! I mean he looks great in everything. He just wears clothes really well. But I love him in a suit!'

A-list couple J.Lo and A-Rod first got together in 2017 and got engaged this past March.

Though both are busier than ever, the pair are also slowly planning their nuptials.

'Her schedule is extremely intense, but she is super excited,' a source told People. 'Alex is very supportive and will be at most of her shows over the summer. They will travel as a family all around the U.S.'

According to the insider it will be an intimate ceremony for family and close friends.

'[They] are not doing a huge wedding... [It'll probably be] a small family celebration that will, of course, include all four kids.'
