'Well, he's just the best person I've ever met in my whole life. It was a very, very easy decision,' the X-Men stalwart said of the art gallerist.

The couple, who have kept a low profile since they started dating, were first pitured together in June of 2018.

In February, Jennifer was spotted wearing an impressive diamond ring, with the coupe confirming their engagement later that month.

The Mother! star also had kind words for her co-star Sophie Turner, who plays Jean Grey at the eponymous Dark Phoenix.

'[Sophie Turner] absolutely did [give Mystique a good ending],' she said from the carpet. 'That's not a lie. That's true. She really did.'

Jennifer plays the blue-skinned Mystique, and had some strong words about the time consuming makeup needed to get into character.

She explained: 'I don't even think I'll do aging makeup ever — just nothing. Stop painting my face, except for this.

'If you watch the series of the movies, you'll see there's like, writing around my blue,' she said, referencing the fact that she's spent a greater portion of each movie with her normal skin tone.

'The first movie I ended like, ''Mutant and proud!'' And then the second movie, I was like, 'I changed my mind.' It's tough. It's a long time in the makeup chair.'

Delighted: 'Well, he's just the best person I've ever met in my whole life. It was a very, very easy decision,' the X-Men stalwart said of the art gallerist

During an appearance on the Tonight Show, Jennifer told Jimmy Fallon that it originally took eight hours to paint her entire body blue to play Mystique.

For her second X-Men film, Days Of Future Past, the Silver Linings Playbook star refused to do the body paint, instead sticking to makeup above her shoulders and a body suit for everything below, though the prep process was still lengthy.

The outspoken actress didn't mince words when it came to the how the new film wrapped up her portion of the X-Men series.

'I was blown away, really,' she said. 'They did not hold back with the ending of this movie, and it was quite emotional.'

Also at the premiere was Jennifer's co-star and former boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. The two struck up a relationship in 2010, while filming the first of the rebooted X-Men movies, X-Men: First Class.

The actors ended their relationship in 2014 toward the end of filming for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, though they've since remained friends and co-workers.

Proving their friendly exes, the pair were spotted sharing a laugh from the red carpet outside the Chinese Theatre.
