Diane Kruger is red hot in strapless gown as she glams up for the CFDA Fashion Awards

She's enjoying a hiatus from her movie career while she spends time with her baby daughter.

But Diane Kruger looked every inch the leading lady as she stepped out at one of the biggest nights of the year in the fashion industry.

The 42-year-old actress was red hot in a slinky strapless gown by Jason Wu at the 2019 CFDA Fashion Awards in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday night.

The Inglourious Basterds star showcased her elegant decolletage and toned arms and shoulders in the stunning gown, which featured frills across the top.

She allowed all the focus to remain on the vibrant garb, adding classic nude heeled sandals and a small box clutch bag.

The German-born beauty styled her blonde hair into a centre parting with a sleeked back updo.

Diane - who shares her first child with actor Norman Reedus - had glammed up her make-up with a copper eye colour and bronzer.

A nude lip completed her look, along with lashings of mascara.

Her slender figure and curves may have been helped by shape underwear, as she gave a glimpse of her flesh coloured corset from the drop back of her outfit.

She said to Hello!: 'It is not always easy. Like diapers for example - but I try to use the bamboo diapers. You do your best.'
