Melania Trump added a touch of glamour to her outfit this morning as she accessorized it with a black Birkin handbag, worth around £50,000.

The First Lady, 49, carried the black shiny Niloticus crocodile Birkin 25 as she joined the President for a meeting with Theresa and Philip May at Number 10.

She paired it with her favourite Celine trench coat, but it was the bag, which has gold detail on it, that really made a statement.

High-end personal shopper Amber Gordon said: 'Birkin 25's are said to be worth £25-30,000 when first sold, but second hand they double in price - so can be resold for up to £50,000.'

Gordon, who travels the globe snapping up luxury goods for her elite clientele, said that the bags material is one of the factors which will make it more expensive: "Niloticus is very rare as it comes from a Nile Crocidle in South Africa - so its hard to come by.'

Commonly spotted hanging off the arms of celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, the Hermes Birkin's are the ultimate in designer arm-candy.

Cover up in a classic trench coat like Melania in Celine

The First Lady certainly packed well for her trip to the UK.

So far we've spotted her in brand new pieces by Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Dior, but today she has revisited a classic from her closet that she also wore last summer.

Melania Trump arrived at No 10 Downing Street wearing a trench coat by Celine, which she teamed with a chunky waist belt, a bag by Hermes and a pair of snake-effect heels.

Her outerwear is by Celine and features utility pockets, as well as a flattering A-line silhouette. We love the covered buttons too!

Sadly it's not available to buy, but click (right) to browse the current coat collection by the luxe label.

Or since every woman should have a good trench coat in their wardrobe, we've picked out four of the best from the virtual high street. Check them out in our edit below.

After stunning in three different looks yesterday - including the Dior gown she wore for the State Banquet last night - Mrs Trump continued her stylish State Visit with a simple yet sophisticated ensemble for the first engagement of the day.

She wore the coat with the towering black snakeskin Manolo Blahnik heels she famously wore when making a Hurricane Harvey disaster relief visit in August 2017.

Mrs Trump wrapped up against the surprisingly chilly weather in the mid-length camel coat, which features utility pockets, as well as a flattering A-line silhouette.

The First Lady has worn the piece - from one of her favourite designers - on a number of previous occasions, including an outing with the President in June last year.

While she typically wears the coat with the matching beige tie, today Melanie opted to accentuate her waist by adding her own chunky black leather belt with a black buckle.

She finished the look with a pair of black stilettos and a black designer handbag. The ensemble is the latest in a string of stylish looks sported by the First Lady on the State Visit.

Last night Melania wore a white evening gown from Dior's spring 2019 collection as she joined the President and his children for the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace.

The beautiful gown skimmed her figure and had a sheer design at the top - which complimented Melania's skin tone. Her hair was styled in a stylish bun and she wore her usual smoky eye and minimal jewelery.

She looked relaxed and happy as she shook hands with and rubbed shoulders with members of the royal family including Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge.

Earlier she stepped out in a crisp white and navy dress by Dolce & Gabbana as she toured the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace and visited Westminster Abbey.

The custom white dress featured a contrasting blue collar and flattering waist belt while her white Hervé Pierre hat was complete with a thick navy band around the brim. She finished the look with a pair of matching heels by Manolo Blahnik.

On arrival Melania sported yet another look, stepping off the plane in a £650 Burberry blouse and a navy skirt suit by Michael Kors.
