The First Lady was a vision in cream this morning as she arrived in Portsmouth with her husband Donald Trump for the D-Day 75th anniversary commemorations.

Melania, 49, opted for chic neutral shades for the sombre occasion, with a full length wool coat from luxurious fashion label The Row and an elegant asymmetric Philip Treacy disc hat worn at an angle.

She previously wore the demure coat, with a belted waist and wide lapel, to the 2017 Secretary of State's International Women of Courage Award. Coats from the brand's collection can sell for up to £4,800 ($6,100).

Melania swept her glamorous locks into an elegant, understated bun and opted for subtle smokey eye make-up and a slick of pale pink lipgloss.

The First Lady expertly navigated the steps as she alighted the helicopter in towering nude stiletto heels to greet her husband, who looked dapper in a blue suit and a striped tie.

The couple will join the Queen and Prince Charles at Southsea Common to commemorate the day during World War II on which Allied forces invaded northern France via beach landings in Normandy.

Layer up like Melania in a belted coat by The Row

So far on her trip to the UK, Melania Trump has debuted some brand new pieces by the likes of Givenchy, Dior, Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana.

But the First Lady has also repeated a couple of very chic coats, starting with her Celine trench yesterday, and now this cream coat by The Row.

It's from the label's Resort '17 collection, and we love how the belt really cinches it in at the waist so it looks almost like a dress. When teamed with a Philip Treacy hat, it's a very smart ensemble.

It has now sold out, however you can click (right) to buy a similar new season style by the label, which is of course the brainchild of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. But be warned: The Row's designs don't tend to be particularly budget-friendly. This similar coat for sale at MATCHESFASHION.COM will set you back a whopping $6770

So with that in mind, shop the more affordable options we've got lined up for you in the edit below. Ted Baker, Michael by Michael Kors, and Mango have all got trench coats that will do the trick...

They will then travel to the Republic of Ireland, where the president will hold a bilateral meeting with Irish premier Leo Varadkar at Shannon Airport, and stay overnight at his Doonbeg hotel and golf resort in County Clare.

Last night the First Lady joined her husband at an intimate 60-person black tie dinner at the official residence of the US Ambassador, Winfield House in Regent's Park.

Melania has made London her catwalk for a range of designer outfits including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Dior, but she saved her best outfit for Winfield House on the second day of the Trump state visit.

The First Lady wowed in a red cape sleeve £5,610 ($7,134) dress by Givenchy. The wool-crepe dress was crafted with a sequin embellished neckline, long cape sleeves and a satin godet insert to finish.

The couple were joined by Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Prime Minister and officials and dignitaries from both nations for the three-course meal in London, which was held to reciprocate Monday night's lavish banquet in the Buckingham Palace ballroom.

In contrast to the sophisticated Palace menu, which included steamed halibut and strawberry sable and was served with a £2,000-a-bottle Chateau Lafite - last night's fare was closer to the heart of the teetotal President with a taste for plain food: beef, potatoes, ice cream, and £30-a-bottle Californian red wine.

It came at the end of a busy day for the President in which he held a joint press conference with Theresa May, met privately with Nigel Farage, and avoided a smaller-than-expected protest in central London.

Melania enjoyed a garden party at Number 10 with the Prime Minister's husband Philip May, and the pair seemed to get on 'like a house on fire' according to a body language expert.

On Monday night, Melania wore a white evening gown from Dior's spring 2019 collection for the occasion, which was her third outfit of the day.

The beautiful gown skimmed her figure and had a sheer design at the top - which complimented Melania's skin tone. Her hair was styled in a stylish bun and she wore her usual smoky eye and minimal jewelery.

She looked relaxed and happy as she shook hands with and rubbed shoulders with members of the royal family including Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge.

Upon landing in the UK, she sported a very stylish Burberry pussy blouse and Michael Kors skirt suit, before changing into a white number from Dolce and Gabbana - an apparent tribute to the late Princess Diana.

The Royal British Legion has brought about 300 veterans, aged 91 to 101, to the D-Day ceremonies in Portsmouth, where many of the troops embarked for Normandy on June 5, 1944. After a flyover by the Royal Air Force and a salute from the Royal Navy, the veterans will return to the landing beaches overnight, just as they did 75 years ago.

One of those veterans is Harold Wilson who was startled when a young French family stopped to thank him for liberating their country when the old soldiers visited Dunkirk on Tuesday.

'I think it's amazing after all these years,' Wilson said before the ceremony, proudly wearing the tartan-trimmed cap of his old unit, the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry. 'It makes it clear to me how useful it was.'

Queen Elizabeth II is set to join British Prime Minister Theresa May, other world leaders and some 300 veterans in Portsmouth on England's south coast, to honor the Allied soldiers, sailors and airmen who risked and gave their lives in the invasion that helped liberate Europe from Nazi Germany.

Britain has promised 'unprecedented commemorations' in Portsmouth. There will be testimony from veterans and 'one of the greatest British military spectacles in recent years' featuring a flyby of 24 vintage and modern military aircraft.
