Ashton Kutcher's Netflix show The Ranch announces it will end with a fourth and final season

Netflix's The Ranch is saying its farewells, with series coming to a close with a two-part final season.

Netflix had already renewed The Ranch for a 20-episode Season 4 back in October, but series star/executive producer Ashton Kutcher announced today the fourth season will be its last.

Kutcher took to Twitter on Tuesday, sharing a photo with Sam Elliot, Elisha Cuthbert and new Season 4 star Dax Shepard, plus a message about the show ending.

'@theranchnetflix is coming to an end, but not just yet,' Kutcher began, before breaking down the plan for the final season.

'We’re excited to bring you the final 20 episodes — 10 streaming later this year (2019) on @netflix, and then 10 more in 2020. Stay tuned!' he concluded.

The show's fate has been up in the air for some time, after the dismissal of Danny Masterson following rape allegations, though Deadline reports the show had not been expected to go beyond a fourth season.

Just days before the second season of The Ranch debuted in December 2017, Netflix dropped Masterson, after four women came forward alleging Masterson raped them in the 2000s.

Masterson had already filmed the second season, and the first half of the third season, but he was removed before filming started on the second half of Season 3.

Masterson had long denied the allegations against him, releasing a statement revealing that he plans to clear his name.

'From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me. I have never been charged with a crime, let alone convicted of one,' Masterson said.

'In this country, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, in the current political climate, it seems as if you are presumed guilty the moment you are accused,' he added.

'I understand and look forward to clearing my name once and for all,' Masterson concluded.
