Lisa Rinna's daughter Amelia has explained why she lashed out at her father Harry Hamlin during her struggle with anorexia last year.
On Tuesday's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the 17-year-old snapped at her father during an outdoor dinner along with sister Delilah, 20, as she refused to eat food he prepared for his wife and daughters.
In a PSA before the episode aired Amelia explained: 'Tonight on the housewives you will see how my eating disorder affected myself and my family. There is a scene where I am EXTREMELY rude to my dad and the food that he wants me to eat,

'I was not in a good place at all': Before the episode aired Amelia wanted her fans to know that her attitude during the meal was a result of her eating disorder
'During that time, one year ago — I was not in a good place at all,' Amelia added.
'I may have looked like I was recovered, but I was most definitely not. Within the scene you will see me lashing out due to my fear of food.
'The person displayed in tonight’s episode is not the person I am. It was the person anorexia made me… I just wanted everyone to know why I acted the way that I did,'
The model explained that it was difficult for her to relive that moment because she's seeing how 'blind to how trapped I was and how different I acted.'

Amelia assured her followers that she is now '100% recovered and happy,' adding that hamburgers are now a 'weekly occurrence' in her diet.
The teen - as well as mom Lisa - received much criticism on social media for her behavior in Tuesday's episode.
One Instagram user wrote under a photo on Lisa's page 'Your daughter's behavior is disgusting.'
Another wrote: 'Did watch last episode of RHOBH..wow your daughters are really really rude. I feel for Harry.'

Another scathing comment read: 'You know I used to really like Lisa and after I seen her show tonight in the way her daughter acted I don't have any respect for her daughter or her her daughter was so disrespectful to her husband and she just laughed it off like nothing I would never buy any of her products.'
After the show Amelia declared she was taking a break from social media writing, 'Signing off until the hypocrites stop criticizing me,
'To all of the people sitting back commenting on an 18 year old photo imagine if you heard hundreds of comments of how disgusting you are. Then lmk if you’d still sit there and write those rude words. Everything comes full circle people.'
During the episode Lisa, 55, said of the family gathering: 'Harry has a side to him that loves to make things nice,' as the actor made hamburgers, hot dogs and pie.
When the Mad Men star came out with the food Amelia abruptly told him: 'I'm not hungry.'

'No, I'm just not hungry,' Amelia replied. 'I’m allergic to everything.'
Delilah challenged her, asking, 'You're allergic to salad?' to which Amelia replied 'No, I can have salad. But I don't like that salad.'
Lisa explained in a confessional, 'Amelia has issues with food. You watch Amelia take two steps forward, one step back. It is not an easy, clean, "Okay great, you know, you did that, you had that, you got the help." It’s not like that. It’s just, you know, one day at a time.'

After giving her father the middle finger behind his back, Amelia proceeded to berate him as she said: 'Does it really upset you that I can’t eat your food that you make? Does it really make you angry? I’m sorry, we’re going to have to work through it.'
Things got even more tense as she even added in an impression of her father.
'His energy is so effed up. What are you doing? Why is your energy like this?' she said. 'You're very passive aggressive. "Oh, you can’t eat my food? Oh, okay."'

The parents then proceeded to have a heated back and forth about who is responsible for Amelia's behavior.
Lisa was obviously worried about the on-going battle with the eating disorder as she wondered if Amelia will ever overcome it as she said: 'The scariest thing about anorexia is: Is she going to have this forever?'
Obviously the reality star was concerned as she opened up about how hard it has been to see her endure this fight as she said: 'I don't want to see her suffer. You want to fix it.
'You want to make it go away. You want to erase it. You know, you just want to take your child out of pain. You don’t want your child to be in pain.'

'I don’t know. I just know that it’s really, really hard to watch Amelia be in pain.'
In March of 2018, Amelia had posted a lengthy Instagram post as she revealed that she had been recovering from an eating disorder.
She said that she had woken up 'one morning' and decided to stop 'sabotaging myself…my health, my physical health, my mental health and everything about myself.'

Amelia continued: 'Once I got the help that I needed, shortly after the second photo was taken, I began to try to love myself for me.

'I went through this journey not for attention, not for people to pity me, but to help. I am on this earth to help people, and I know that.'
