Sophie Turner blames THAT infamous Game Of Thrones coffee cup gaffe on Kit Harington: 'Kit is lazy and I think he would have done that'

Debate has raged for weeks over who left a Starbucks cup in shot for the penultimate episode of Game Of Thrones' final season.

And the show's star Sophie Turner lay the blame at the feet of her co-star Kit Harington during an interview with Conan O'Brien on Wednesday.

'Kit is lazy and I think he would have done that,' said the 23-year-old actress told the Conan host.

The cup was spotted by eagle-eyed viewers shortly after the original airing on May 5, but it was quickly scrubbed from the episode.

'I hear this every day of my life, this coffee cup thing, so it’s good to know that the coffee cup got more press than the final season altogether,' joked the star of the HBO fantasy megahit.

When asked who was responsible for leaving the anachronistic item in shot, the English beauty said, 'The coffee cup was where Kit [Harington's]'s chair was.'

'First I blamed it on [co-star] Emilia [Clarke], but I don’t think Emilia would do that.'

The Josie actress continued: '“Kit is lazy and I think he would have done that.'

'It was in front of Kit’s chair and then obviously he moved and this picture was taken and it looked like it was in my seat, but I wasn’t there either.'

'It was Kit. It was a hundred percent Kit.'

Meanwhile, Turner's husband Joe Jonas is denying responsibility for the now-infamous coffee cup.

While promoting his new tour with brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas was asked if he left the cup on the set, during an interview on Hot Ones (at the 8:00 mark), but he denied it.

'I wish it was me,' Joe said, while his brother Nick added, 'That would be amazing if it was Joe, I was thinking about that.

'That would've been so incredible if you like basically f***ed something up on Game of Thrones,' Nick added.

Joe added that he asked his Game of Thrones star wife if they left that cup in the shot on purpose, since there was a similar error in Season 7.

'I know there was a pickup truck last season. I don't know if you saw, in one of the fight scenes in the very back there's like a white pickup truck,' he said.

Joe said that he asked Sophie if they did that to mess with the fans, and she responded, 'No, they are so meticulous about everything.'

'I kind of wish they just left it in, I guess HBO took it out. Or maybe it should just be an Easter Egg in every scene now,' Joe added.

While it has yet to be revealed who the coffee cup culprit is, Emilia Clarke offered some possible suspects in a recent interview with The New Yorker, where she insisted it couldn't be one of the cast members.

'We don’t drink Starbucks. So anyone who’s clucking around with a Starbucks cup is someone who is not a cast member,' Clarke said.

She hinted that it could be someone from craft services, or it also could have been showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, since they had cameo appearances in that scene.
