The Jonas Brothers, who recently reunited after calling it quits six years ago, recorded a cover of the British band's hit Year 3000 in 2006 - four years after Busted released the iconic track.

And the two noughties groups finally delivered the collaboration their fans had been calling for to a packed audience at Wembley Arena.

At one point, Busted vocalist Charlie, 33, took the lead as he sang and played guitar with Disney Channel alum Joe, 29, watching on in the background.

He told The Official Big Top 40: 'My fiancée constantly reminds me that 'Year 3000' is not our song.'

Nick added that he was the first one to suggest going solo to work on his own material.

Joe described this as a 'really difficult thing to hear' but would later come to realise it was for the best that they split when they did.

The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, becoming the group's first number one in the US.

The brothers became known for their association with the Disney Channel, something which they felt became a challenge as they grew older.

While Joe insisted the band have a lot to thank Disney for, he said their association with it became uncomfortable when they started to feel creatively boxed in by only writing material that Disney would approve of.

Nick added their association with Disney gave fans a certain perception of the group and believes it also made it tough for them to be accepted as a real band at times.

While he doesn't like having to take credit for the group splitting up, Nick revealed it was him who made the first move to get the band back together.
