Hillary Clinton's youngest brother Tony Rodham died Friday evening, the Democrat confirmed in a tweet Saturday.
The former presidential candidate, 71, tweeted: 'We lost my brother Tony last night. It's hard to find words, my mind is flooded with memories of him today.
'When he walked into a room he'd light it up with laughter. He was kind, generous, & a wonderful husband to Megan & father to Zach, Simon, & Fiona. We'll miss him very much.'
Businessman Rodham worked for the Democratic National Committee during the 1992 presidential election. His cause of death is not known.
He also appeared on the campaign trial in 2016 with his sister in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Rodham was born in 1954 to parents Hugh and Dorothy Rodham and raised in the Chicago suburbs with his siblings, Hillary and Hugh Rodham, who is now 69.
He worked a variety of jobs, including stints as a prison guard, insurance salesman, repo man and private detective.
After going into consulting in the 1990s Rodham worked at home in the U.S. and abroad on various projects.
But he came under scrutiny amid accusations that he used his connections to the White House and his brother-in-law, the president.
Rodham was said to have helped get a pardon for two people convicted of bank fraud in 1982, The New York Times reported in 2001.
He acknowledged that he helped obtain the presidential pardon for the Tennessee couple despite objections from the Justice Department.
Rodham also had financial difficulties amid failed businesses and bad investments, USA Today reports.
In 2010 Bill Clinton helped Rodham get a job with his friend Terry McAuliffe. He said: 'I was complaining to my brother-in-law I didn't have any money. And he asked McAuliffe to give me a job.'
He is survived by wife Megan, who he married in 2005, and his three children, Zachary, Simon and Fiona.
Rodham also became one of the few people to ever get married at the White House when married the daughter of former U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer, Nicole Boxer before their divorce in 2001.

Tony and his brother Hugh were most notable for drawing unwelcome controversy to the Clinton administration.
The White House in 1999 had to publicly rebuke the brothers for a business venture in which they planned to export hazelnuts from the former Soviet Republic of Georgia with the help of Aslan Abashidze, the leading political rival of then Georgian President and Clinton ally Eduard Shevardnadze.
'If in fact this project is still going forward, we don't approve and will continue to make clear to Georgian officials that this venture has no connection with or sanction from the U.S. government,' White House spokesman Joe Lockhart said at the time.
Rodham later helped on his sister's 2008 presidential campaign. But she ultimately ended that bid for the Democratic Party nomination and threw her support to eventual President Barack Obama.
