Hollywood movie star Eric Bana, 50, has also been named a Member of the Order of Australia, for his contribution to the arts and charity.

Eric, alongside his wife Rebecca, became a patron of the Australian Childhood Foundation in 2008.

He told the Sydney Morning Herald that he's 'chuffed' with the honour and puts it partly down to career longevity.

'I'd say it's largely to do with still being around, which I'm really thankful for,' Eric said.
