A parrot is seen beside her, perched on the back of the lounge, and trying in vain to peck through the glass to get to its contents.

She captioned the photo: 'Two birds having a drink.'

While Melissa's shoulder-length blonde hair looks dishevelled in the picture, the actor appears fresh-faced in the photo.

'Australia is home, for sure, and it'll never not be home. It's where I feel the best. It's where I feel complete,' the ex soap star added.

However, Melissa admitted she still has an attachment to her old life in New York.

'I think where I dream is New York. That's where I achieved my independence, that's where I got some of my best roles. And it's still standing, I still have my place there because I can't let it go. I want to go back,' she said.
