Farrah Fawcett's close friend reveals actress' last words were about troubled son Redmond before her death from cancer
In the days before she passed away, Farrah Fawcett was concerned about her son Redmond O'Neal.
The actress, who died aged 62 in 2009 after battling anal cancer, worried about her son, now 34, who was at the time in prison on drug charges and battling a drug addiction.
'She was saying his name, "Redmond"', Farrah's longtime friend Mela Murphy, who was by her side at St. John's Health Center in Los Angeles when she passed away, recalled.

'I said, "You can go now." It was just a few hours before she died.'
As the 10-year anniversary of Farrah's death approaches, close friends have paid tribute to the actress, remembering her brave battle against the disease and her struggle to save her troubled son.
Her Charlie's Angels costar Jaclyn Smith told the publication: 'She never gave up,' adding, 'She was relentless in her fight.'
Murphy recalls trying to comfort Fawcett while at her bedside and says at one point, when the actress could no longer drink fluids, she snuck in a bottle of Kahlua for her.
'Kahlua and milk, that was our drink,' she revealed. 'I dipped a swab in it and gave it to her. She looked at me and laughed.'
Redmond, who Farrah shared with on-off partner Ryan O'Neal, was granted temporary release from jail to attend his mother's funeral.

Farrah was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and chronicled her treatment in her documentary Farrah's Story, which she co-produced with pal Alana Stewart.
'Farrah was glad she went public,' Stewart said. 'She got thousands of letters from people thanking her for her courage in coming forward to say she had anal cancer. That was her thing — to fight the fight.'
Meanwhile, Redmond, 34, is continuing to battle his demons. He was arrested for armed robbery last year after he walked into a Santa Monica liquor store with a knife.
He was also jailed in July 2015 for three years for violating probation relating to his prior drugs possession conviction.
He is the only son of Farrah and Ryan, who were together from 1979 to 1997 before rekindling their relationship again in 2001.
