Now Trump admits he's doing poorly in polls as he claims he'd be 'winning by 20 points' if it weren't for the 'Fake News Media' and Democrats

  • President Trump seemed to admit Wednesday that he's doing poorly in national polls that he and his campaign aides have claimed publicly are fake
  • Trump has denied that he's losing to Joe Biden by double digits in critical states
  • He claimed he'd be 'winning by 20 points,' if it were for Democrats and the media
  • Blamed the Russia probe and 'the Fake News Media and their partner in Crime, the Democrats' for the fact that he's not 'way up in the Polls right now'
  • Said he'd be 'winning by 20 points' if it weren't for that. Then claimed: 'But I’m winning anyway!'

President Trump seemed to admit Wednesday that he's doing poorly in national polls that he and his campaign aides have claimed publicly are fake and not representative of the electorate.

Trump has denied that he's losing to Joe Biden, specifically, by double digits, in the face of internal and external polling that shows the Democrat out in front.

He didn't mention his closest opponent in a tweet complaining about his standing in national survey. But he claimed he'd be 'winning by 20 points,' if it were for Democrats and the media.

'If I didn’t have the Phony Witch Hunt going on for 3 years, and if the Fake News Media and their partner in Crime, the Democrats, would have played it straight, I would be way up in the Polls right now - with our Economy, winning by 20 points. But I’m winning anyway!' he said.

Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to complain about his position in the polls. He claimed he'd be 'winning by 20 points,' if it were for Democrats and the media

A Fox News poll released on Sunday had Trump losing to Biden by 10 points in the general election, 49-39, in a hypothetical match up. Sen. Bernie Sanders would beat Trump, too, 49-40, the survey showed.

Three other Democrats poll ahead of Trump but within the margin of error. Still, the surveys indicated that the incumbent Republican president is vulnerable.

A Quinnipiac University poll that came out Tuesday while Trump was flying to Orlando for his 2020 kickoff event also showed Trump losing to Biden in the state of Florida.

The former vice president would beat Trump by nine points, 50 – 41 percent in the Sunshine State, while Sanders would win 48 – 42 percent in the swing state.

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale told DailyMail.com that Quinnipiac is 'c**p' in response to a question about the poll inside the president's rally.

Polls conducted by the campaign in March also showed Trump losing to Biden in Florida, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin leaked data that came out this month shows.

A campaign source said Tuesday that internal polling with similar results was 'ancient' as it was three months old and conducted before the special counsel submitted his final report.

Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany also railed against the polling in a Fox News interview, where she claimed the surveys were fake and found her point rebutted by a program host.

'Stories about the leaked polling are more fake news. Yes, those numbers were accurate, but they were from three months ago. They were pre-Mueller report. They were the worst case scenario and the most unfavorable turnout model,' she said. 'But I can tell you, Steve, right now the president is leading in all 17 swing states against a defined Democrat.'

'Fox & Friends' host Steve Doocey noted that she claimed the leaked polls were accurate. 'So they weren't fake news, they were old news,' he offered.

She said, 'They were old news and they were the most unfavorable turnout model. We have to predict who's going to turn out. So this is the most pro-Democratic turnout model you could see.'

The party spokeswoman was following President Trump's lead - he said they were 'fake' and 'phony' polls and his numbers are improving.

'We've gotten great poll numbers recently,' the president said. 'Tremendous poll numbers.'

He told ABC News in an interview: 'Those polls don't exist.'

'Those polls don't exist. I'm losing in 15 out of 17 states? Those polls don't exist,' he insisted.

Trump argued, 'I just was given a meeting with my pollster who I frankly don't even believe in pollsters if you want to know the truth, you just run a campaign and whatever it is, it is, but I just had a meeting with somebody that's a pollster and I'm winning everywhere, so I don't know what you're talking about.'
