The anthology program, inspired by the 1996 horror film, was rebooted with an entirely new cast for the upcoming season.

In January, Mary helped celebrate her longtime friend Taraji P Henson as the actress received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In a speech, she said: 'You have been a total inspiration to me. We meet people in the industry and they're not nice.

'I've never had a friend that I can call while I'm on set and say, "How do I do this as an actress," and you helped me when I needed help.'

The two starred together in Tyler Perry's 2009 film I Can Do Bad All By Myself.
