Going, going, gong! Holly Willoughby leaves looking dishevelled, Tess Daly staggers into her taxi and hungover Michelle Heaton laments the 'walk of shame' school run after a boozy night at the NTAs
- The nation's small screen stars piled out of London's O2 Arena with a little less decorum than on the red carpet for Tuesday night's National Television Awards 2018
- This Morning's Holly, 36, was toasting their success in the Daytime category until a mere few hours before she was due to present again
- Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess, 48, along with soap actress Lucy Fallon, Catherine Tyldesley and Jennifer Metcalfe were all among the familiar faces staggering back to taxis after the civilised ceremony
- Ant & Dec were the big winners of the night, collecting three prizes, while Blue Planet 2 picked up a special award and Suranne Jones triumphantly defeated Hollywood actor Tom Hardy in the acting category
The small screen's biggest stars experienced something of a fall from grace as they made dishevelled exits while the unpredictable conditions - and the free bar - took a swift shine of their red carpet composure.
Presenting bombshells Holly Willoughby, 36, and Tess Daly, 48, were pictured staggering into taxis, while mum-of-two Michelle Heaton, 38, was already lamenting the 'walk of shame' school run.

Heading home: Presenting pals Holly Willoughby (left) and Tess Daly (right) lead the worse-for-wear celebrities leaving the National Television Awards on Tuesday night in London, as they both struggled to make a demure exit via taxi
Strictly Come Dancing's Tess saw the funny side as she struggled to keep up right in her taxi home.
She giggled as she landed on the seats after tripping on her staggering heels, but laughed off the gaffe as she tried to regain composure among friends.
Similarly, This Morning's Holly looked weary as she climbed into a car, but it was her co-presenter Phillip Schofield who saw the humour in the worse-for-wear exit.
Giddy in the front seat, Phil was in higher spirits than Holly who held her head in the back, perhaps preempting the hangover which would surely accompany their presenting segment the next morning on ITV.
Send help! TV personality Michelle Heaton was already lamenting the walk of shame school run with her kids
Heading home: Holly Willoughby lead the worse-for-wear celebrities leaving the National Television Awards on Tuesday night in London
Something funny? Phil in the front found the whole experience extremely humorous, while Holly had to hold her head
Time to go: Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon (left) suffered an unfortunate nip slip as she left in a car, while Holly's dress was awkwardly positioned to expose her legs
Messing with the hair: Jacqueline Jossa (left) and Mollie King (right) were hindered by some treacherous weather conditions
Meanwhile, mum of two Michelle awoke to the realisation that everyday life was not going to feel so easy on Wednesday, writing in an Instagram post: 'Oh .. my ... good .. god! the school run ....#hungover #walkofshame #othermumsdontjudge.
'You know what I don’t actually regret a thing (or any shot) .. both kids are at school today . Just gotta get through the morning .. And I’m off all day long. (sic)'
She summed up what was sure to be a mutual feeling, as Coronation Street stars including Lucy Fallon and Catherine Tyldesley seemed headed for a hangover.
Following her momentous win for her role as Bethany Platt in the soap, Lucy experienced a fall from grace on a giddy return to her hotel.
Messy look: Love Island beauty Olivia Attwood seemed like she couldn't care less about the dress as she reflected on the night
Oh no! Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley was not quite as polished, thanks to the heavy wind in London
Lost for words: I'm A Celebrity's Amir Khan was seen staggering around on the red carpet, clutching his phone
Knight in shining armour: Love Island's Montana Brown was even carried out of the venue by a willing suitor
Steady as she goes: Tess saw the funny side in falling into the cab and quickly regained her composure by tossing her hair back and shaking it off
Squeezing in: (From left) I'm A Celebrity campmates Vanessa White, Jamie Lomas, Rebekah Vardy and Dennis Wise were all pictured squeezing into a car
Glamorous: Sandwiched between her two campmates, Rebekah still looked glamorous
Windswept: The soap star was giddy as she left the venue in her super-plunging black gown
Lucy's plunging black dress slipped down, causing an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction. Nevertheless, Lucy seemed unaware of her nip-slip and hopped out of her car with a smile.
Her co-star Catherine seemed more perturbed by the wind, which wreaked havoc with her professionally coiffed hair do.
She kept her head down as loose strands were blown about by the blustery conditions and she caught a chill on her shoulders.
I'm A Celebrity's Amir Khan was pictured stumbling around on the red carpet clutching his phone.
Treacherous: The conditions were not ideal for soap stars including Jennifer Metcalfe, Lucy Fallon and Jacqueline Jossa
Gong with the wind: Mollie King was struggling with her feathers and her long flowing do
In the nude: The bombshell managed to keep her composure, despite the unfortunate conditions
Mind the dress: The Strictly Come Dancing star had to be careful not to trip on her dress
Quick change: Even in a second dress, Molly struggled to keep up glamorous appearances
Not ideal: Her hair proved to be a real problem as she approached a car in her staggering heels
Hard to see: Hopping quickly into a cab, Mollie was not finding it easy to get her hair out of her face
The beauty beneath: Just underneath her hair, her beauty look was still pristine
Keeping her composure: Busty blonde Olivia held onto her dress as it blew up in the wind
Wardrobe mishap: Olivia's dress shone through to her nude knickers, as she overexposed herself on leaving
Still smiling: The blonde flashed her long legs in silver heels, as the dress parted precisely at the middle

Paul O’Grady: For The Love Of Dogs
Unaccompanied by his pregnant wife Faryal Makhdoom, Amir was alone while he tried to get to grips with the handset as the red carpet filled up again with leavers.
On the night, I'm A Celebrity took the gong for Challenge Show, with winner Georgia Toffolo proudly collecting the award alongside presenters Ant & Dec.
Hosting duo Holly and Phillip also enjoyed success on the night, as This Morning bagged the Daytime prize once again, beating the likes of The Chase, The Jeremy Kyle Show and Loose Women, despite each losing out on the TV Presenter award.
Thrilled with the gong, Phil gushed: 'We love getting up very very early in the mornings even when it is cold and dark, so we can work on a show that we are so proud of and I can work with someone who I absolutely adore.'
Holly made sure to add: 'I am lucky to work with not only one of my best friends and one of the best teams in the business... you are the best, we love you!'
TV double act Ant & Dec were the superstars of the night, sweeping the board with three gongs. They took home the TV Presenter prize for a record-breaking 17th time, beating the likes of their good friends Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and Bradley Walsh.
Having endured a turbulent year when it comes to his personal life, Ant reflected on his troubling time of late on accepting the honour, as he told the crowd and viewers at home: 'Thank you, I’m shaking… It’s been quite a year, a tough 12 months, so winning this really means a lot, to my family and friends, some of who are here tonight, thanks very much, and to this man, I love you thank you.'
Dec added: 'Possibly this year more than any other, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.'
The presenters enjoyed another successful win for I'm A Celebrity, that was honoured with the Challenge Show award, and Ant and Dec found themselves the winners of the first Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award with their show Saturday Night Takeaway.
The showbiz veteran sadly passed away in August last year, aged 89, following a long illness and a battle with bronchial pneumonia. Sir Bruce is loved around the country for his 75-year TV career presenting shows including The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right and Strictly.
His legacy was honoured when Strictly Come Dancing returned to screens in September, with the show's professional dancers performing a routine in tribute, before Bruce's best moments from his time on the series were played.
Making the likes of Bruce's old Strictly co-host, Tess Daly, well up, Bruce's late wife Wilnelia said: 'I wish I wouldn’t have to be standing here this evening in front of you, but I’m so proud and honoured that this special award is named after my darling Bruce.
Hand in hand: Vicky Pattison and her fiance John Noble left the venue hand-in-hand, looking besotted
Swept away: Vicky's glamorous dress was blown up but she was more concerned about her hair
Struggling: Vicky pulled amusing faces in the wind
'I know he would have loved it, showbusiness was his life, he would be saying to all of you it’s been nice to see you, to see you nice.'
The night seemed to have been a suitably special occasion, filled with TV's most famous faces.
Reality stars were out in the droves, including Love Island's Olivia Attwood, who was without her beau Chris Hughes on her exit.
Olivia flashed her nude underwear in a semi-sheer dress when she was seen arriving back at her hotel.
She still had a smile despite struggling with the busty garment, which parted directly up the middle.
Strictly Come Dancing's Mollie King was also seen leaving alone, despite persistent rumours that she is dating her former professional partner AJ Pritchard.
Perhaps Mollie's solo display is down to AJ's commitment to the Strictly tour, which is still away in Birmingham.
No explanation was given as to why Mollie didn't join her fellow celebrities on the tour this year.
Changing faces: After looking enamored with her fiance John in a social media picture, Vicky posted picture of their return home, taking a cosy selfie - although she opted to leave her make-up on when she got into bed
Blown away: Even John's tie blew over his shoulder as they struggled in the wind
Presenting pals: Glamorous girlfriends Holly and Fearne Cotton (right) were battling the wind with a smile
Giddy: Holly and Phil scooped an award for their morning breakfast show This Morning on Tuesday night
It was a different story for former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, who did have her chivalrous fiance John Noble to help her with the extreme winds.
She was pictured pulling some humorous faces while she battled with the extreme conditions and captured the strands of hair that blew in her face while they dashed out of the awards ceremony.
Guests weren't all in a hurry to head home. EastEnders star Perry Fenwick was spotted chatting to Emma Barton when guests returned to the red carpet, outside the venue.
Stormzy's giggling girlfriend Maya Jama was also one of the guests spotted lingering after the awards bash concluded in London.
Ultra-glamorous: Rebekah Vardy managed to make her exit look particularly glamorous in a feathered gown
Composed: The I'm A Celebrity star carried a tote bag on her shoulder but still managed to keep her hair in check
Chatting away: EastEnders star Perry Fenwick was spotted chatting to Emma Barton outside the party
Stopping for a chat: Stormzy's girlfriend May Jama was also spotted lingering and chatting after the event
Shivers: Montana looked keen to cover up as she shivered outside the venue following a boozy night out
Watching the neckline: Julia Goulding was careful not to over expose herself with a braless display
For those spilling out into London town, the theme of the post-party social media snaps captured the guests' late night cravings.
Jorgie Porter was caught off guard by her former Hollyoaks co-star Jennifer Metcalfe, as she tried to snack on delectable bread and lashings of butter.
Meanwhile, former Liberty X singer Michelle proudly documented her movements in fast food chains, proving that one meal just wasn't enough.
She snapped cheeseburger starter, followed by chips and a second bread-based meal with her husband Hugh Hanley.
The dynamic duo: TV double act Ant & Dec were the superstars of the night, sweeping the board with three gongs. They took home the TV Presenter prize for a record-breaking 17th time, beating the likes of their good friends Holly , Phil and Bradley
Cheeky! I'm A Celeb and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter was caught off guard when her co-star Jennifer Metcalfe's beau Greg Lake shared a snap of her eating a cupcake with the added caption: '@themissyporter loves a bit of butter fakevegan #ntas'
Snacking Michelle Heaton (left) shared the moment that she grabbed fast food snacks after the awards, and Holly was curing her hangover with pizza the morning after (right)
We made it! Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne laughed off their treacherous return to taxis
All fine and Dan-dy! He walked his pregnant other half out of the venue by the hand
Keeping warm: Jacqueline winced in the cold as her hair got blown all over the place
Having a laugh: Binky Felstead (left) laughed as she left in boyfriend JP's jacket to keep her warm
Unkempt: Shayne Ward didn't look as pristine in his three piece suit, when he left the venue
Sharing a refreshing insight to the glamorous event, she wrote: 'So the glam life of the #NTA’s @mcdonalds on the way home. .. #standard'
The next day, This Morning presenter Holly was also trying to cute her hangover with pepperoni pizza, ahead of Wednesday's breakfast show.
Holly and Phil put on another humorous display when it came around to the 10.30am programme, even pretending not to show up.
Avert your eyes! Jennifer Metcalfe's boyfriend Greg Lake tried to conceal her modesty in a slinky dress
Holding it together: Jennifer's silky dress was tricky to keep in place, thanks to the splits
Watch out! Hollyoaks babe Jennifer was trying to keep her loose-fitting dress from riding up
