Naomi Watts cuts a stylish figure in black maxi dress and pink cat-eye sunglasses as she leaves a TV appearance in NYC

She's set to star in an upcoming prequel to fantasy series Game Of Thrones.

And on Monday, Naomi Watts made some magic of her own with an on-trend black maxi dress complete with slightly fluted sleeves and buttons down the chest as she left the Today show in New York City.

Watts, 50, accessorized with pastels including a pair of pink, oversize cat-eye sunglasses, a rose-colored suede satchel and some white closed-toe pumps.

The Oscar-nominated actress was visiting the Today show to promote her new Showtime series The Loudest Voice co-starring Russell Crowe, Sienna Miller, and Seth MacFarlane.

It centers on the late Roger Ailes, 'the founder of Fox News and political consultant who faced allegations of sexual harassment,' as Today's official statement describes.

Watts plays Gretchen Carlson, the Fox News anchor and correspondent who helped bring down Ailes in the face of sexual harassment allegations.

Do summer styling right with a pink satchel from The Row

Naomi Watts looked sensational as she did a press tour in New York City, stopping by the Today Show at Rockefeller Center.

The Aussie beauty looked fashion forward in this Victorian-inspired ruffled maxi dress that she teamed with white leather court shoes and rose colored accessories.

What caught our eye most was her chic suede handbag from The Row!

Head on over to Neiman Marcus to get your hands on this exact style for $1290, or recreate the look with one of our satchels that are just as chic and perfect for this summer season!

Watts' appearance comes just days after she admitted to being likely 'unhireable' at the start of her career in an interview with Australian Harper's Bazaar.

'Coming from England, we were taught to self-deprecate: "No, sorry, I don’t need anything, I’m terrible."

'I literally hovered around Los Angeles trying to get a job and walked in with my head down and not able to own the room for 10 years, which is why I was unhireable, probably.

Circumstances have certainly changed for the screen star - because as previously mentioned, she's also gearing up to appear in an upcoming Game Of Thrones project.

When the Associated Press asked her what fans can expect, Watts replied: 'I think they won’t be let down. It’s a great team of people they’ve put together.'

According to Yahoo, the Game of Thrones prequel is to be expected sometime in 2020 or 2021.
