Ryan took to social media to explain he had written the review.

'I loved this review of Aviation Gin someone sent me after I wrote it,' said the Deadpool star.

Then his mother Tammy Stewart Reynolds said she knew it was him.

Tammy, who goes by the handle, @tamtam1944 quickly responded: 'Ahhhh.... yes... I thought I heard my son's voice in that narrative!!'

The Pikachu actor, who went under the username Champ Nightengale, wrote quite the elaborate review of his gin product.

Can't pass it by mom! 'I loved this review of Aviation Gin someone sent me after I wrote it,' captioned Ryan, to which his mom revealed she knew it was him all along

'As soon as I tried the Gin I knew right away, it was amazing. It wasn't Juniper forward, which for me is what makes this particular Gin so special. It was the smoothest Gin I'd ever tried and went down really easily,' he began.

And while the review started out like any standard one, it wasn't long until Ryan's narrative got somewhat elaborate, with his fake persona explaining he may have over indulged.

'When I woke up the next day, I mentioned to my wife Linda that last night must have been a REAL blowout because I slept in my clothes! Even my shoes!' he wrote.

'I also noticed it was really hard to look out the window at the Seattle skyline. Partly because of the bright sun (I've always been sensitive to light) but also because I don't live in Seattle. I live in Coral Gables, Florida.'

Big fan! 'As soon as I tried the Gin I knew right away, it was amazing. It wasn't Juniper forward, which for me is what makes this particular Gin so special. It was the smoothest Gin I'd ever tried and went down really easily'

He continued: 'Also, it's important to note, until that morning, I'd never met anyone named Linda.'

And suddenly it wasn't just Ryan's mom trolling him; the social media team behind Aviation Gin were on board too.

'Linda works in finance actually...' the team commented.

Ryan became a part owner of the business in February 2018 less than a year after trying the product for the first time.

'I've tried every gin on the planet and Aviation is, hands down, the best. Also, I don't recommend trying every gin on the planet. Stick with this one.' – Ryan Reynolds, Owner, Aviation American Gin,' reads his bio on the site.
