William Shatner went 'boldly where no man has gone before' as Captain James T. Kirk in the groundbreaking television series, Star Trek, beginning in 1966. 

And this past weekend the actor, now 88, was seen getting around in mobile scooter as the star attraction at day three of AlienCon 2019 at the LA Convention Center.

In one snap, the iconic star sat in park mode on the scooter texting before he took the stage for a panel discussion to talk about his Trekkie days, extraterrestrial sightings and his new fictional series, The UnXplained.

Being the most recognizable face and name of The Original Series (Star Trek), fans were eager to hear he had to say about all things: space, alien and sci-fy related.

With the years having mounted up since his days as Kirk, the Canadian-born drove his scooter close to the stage.

But once his name was called to come out, and the fans roared with excitement, Shatner stepped up and walked out onto the stage. 

Dressed in black pants, black t-shirt with a brown cargo-style blazer, the TV and film icon exuded enthusiasm as he and famed producer and director Kevin Burns chatted and took questions from the audience.

Shatner elaborated on his latest television project, The UnXplained, his new paranormal series about extraterrestrial mysteries that was executive produced by Burns for his Prometheus Productions company.

The actor will share executive producer duties, while also serving as host for the nonfiction series.

[The show] strives to solve some of the world's most intriguing mysteries and it's this truth seeking that resonates most with our viewers,' History programming chief Eli Lehrer said in an interview with Deadline.

During his appearance, Shatner was also gracious enough have a meet-and-greet, where he signed autographs and took pictures with the fans.

Shatner became a cultural icon playing Captain Kirk on television for three seasons (1966-1969), and the seven major motion pictures that followed (1979-1994), 

His career in Hollywood has spanned seven decades, beginning with a role in the 1957 film Oedipus The King.
