Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines reveals group is working on new music in the studio with producer Jack Antonoff

The Dixie Chicks are working on new material.

The group's Natalie Maines took to Instagram on Tuesday with a baby filtered clip in which she was flanked by bandmates Emily Erwin Robison, 46, and Martie Erwin Maguire, 49, and producer Jack Antonoff, 35.

The 44-year-old songstress and three creative collaborators said in a filtered high-pitch, 'Dixie Chicks ... album ... coming ... someday.'

The announcement comes more than 13 years after the country group released the album Taking the Long Way in May of 2006.

The album was a commercial and critical hit, going double platinum and capturing five Grammys in 2007, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album.

Maines and her peers have dropped subtle hints at new music in the works via social media: A year ago, she posted a shot of herself relaxing with a glass of wine while seated in a recording studio.

In a separate shot, she showed off three sets of feet clad in shoes, an implication she was back to making musical magic with her longtime peers.

The group is known, in part, for their strong stance against the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, as Maines said during a concert in London that she was ashamed then-President George Bush was a fellow Texan.

The remarks during the politically-charged period put their careers in peril, as many country stations yanked their music from the air amid the uproar to the remarks.

Maines told US in 2013 that the incident left her with a 'bad taste' for country radio in the wake of the incident.

'We did get supporters, but as a whole, the country music industry did not support us,' she said. 'Award shows would laugh at our expense. It was fun to hate us.'

Maines told the publication she did not regret taking the stance publicly, and felt it was a patriotic thing to do, all facts considered.

'To me, I was right from the beginning, because it's my right as an American to speak up and question our President, have my point of view, have my opinion, question what I want to question, and say what I want to say about our government,' she said. 'It's very scary to me that people actually think we should just follow our leaders. If we can't learn from our history, we're nowhere.

'My point I try to make about that is it's not a thing I wanted to be right about. It's not a good "I told ya so" with all these people losing their lives. War is horrible.'

The group trended on social media last July after their 2003 controversy was compared to President Donald Trump's public refuting of information from American intelligence officials during his Helsinki summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
