The Girl Gone Wild video caused a stir when it was released in 2012 as it featured Madonna dancing with scantily clad male dancers wearing heels and two models seductively biting the same apple.

It comes after Troye had previously revealed his struggles with coming to terms with his sexuality.

Talking to Another Man last year, Troye explained that he felt an 'internal struggle' for years before he finally came out.

'I thought that I was honestly going to take it to my grave,' he said. 'I just remember I got to the point where the internal monologue was driving me actually crazy.'

He added: 'I felt like I was going insane, because I had reached the point where I was so petrified of lying and keeping this secret, but the fear of coming out was equally as scary.'

Troye clarified that his family was incredibly supportive of him when he came out as gay as a teenager.

It was because of that support that Troye had what he described as the 'easiest coming out in the world'.

Troye officially made the announcement that he was gay in an inspirational video on his YouTube channel in 2009 when he was 14-years-old.

The Blue Neighbourhood singer is currently in a relationship with American model Jacob Bixenman.
