Jenna Jameson celebrates maintaining 80lb weight loss from controversial Keto Diet in new side-by-side photos

Jenna Jameson began her weight-loss journey just over one year ago after the birth of her third child, daughter Batel Lu.

And on Wednesday, the 45-year-old former adult film star showed her followers how well she's been keeping it off.

Jameson posted a new side-by side photo, comparing a pic of herself at 205 pounds taken over a year ago to a photo of her now at 125.

In the before and after shots, Jameson is first pictured wearing a short, pink and black dress, with her hair up in a bun and her new baby Batel in her arms.

Now, more than a year later, the mom of three is pictured wearing a strapless white bikini, still rocking that messy bun.

Her arms, legs, stomach and even face are all visibly more slender.

'This is 205 vs. 125 both perfectly happy... but only one of these is healthy! I’m so thankful to #keto for giving me my life back! Please visit my amazon keto list the link is in my bio! It’s super helpful when it comes to figuring out snacks and secrets to staying in ketosis!' Jameson captioned the post, hashtagging #postpartumbody and #ketotransformation.

The former adult film star started the keto diet back in March of 2018.

It only took six months for Jameson to hit her current weight, 125 lbs.

Her original goal was 110 lbs, but said in a previous post that after wrestling with her 'unhealthy mind' that kept telling her she 'need[ed] to be 110,' her body decided 125 was her 'ideal weight,' and that she was more than happy with that.

'I LOVE ME,' she wrote in the September 9th Instagram post.

And the transition into weight maintenance instead of weight loss came with a bonus - more food.

'Since I’m at my goal weight (125) I don’t want to lose more, so I’m upping my calories from my usual #ketodiet,' she said in another post, and added that she’s still following the keto diet. 'But LISTEN TO ME, I am not saying to myself… "it’s ok to eat garbage processed nastiness!" I am sticking to yummy organic fresh foods. I’m just allowing myself room.'

The body positive advocate then talked about what her diet had been like that week.

'Yesterday I ate a HUGE siracha burger with jalapeños done protein style. I ate salmon and a big Caesars salad for dinner and had my usual three eggs and cheese for breakfast. My scale is reflecting and staying put. I think a lot of us worry about details that don’t really matter, like times and exact numbers. My advice is trust your intuition and trust your body. I also allow myself a treat more often now. Once a week I get some gelato or ice cream,' she wrote.

The keto diet works by putting the body in ketosis and making it necessary to burn fat for energy instead of glucose, which some doctors say isn't exactly healthy.

The Mayo Clinic says the diet is concerning: 'While the ketogenic diet may be recommended for some people with uncontrolled epilepsy, the high fat content — and especially the high level of unhealthy saturated fat — combined with limits on nutrient-rich fruits, veggies and grains is a concern for long-term heart health.'

And Registered Dietician Brigitte Zeitlin told Page Six that Jameson’s diet isn’t a healthy plan for strictly losing weight.

'It sounds drastically under the amount of calories she needs to maintain one’s health in general,' Zeitlin told the entertainment news medium. 'She’s also fasting for a tremendous amount of hours during the day.'

Zeitlin warned against combining the keto diet with intermittent fasting, saying it’s 'not sustainable.'

She recommended eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day.

Studies have shown that eating smaller meals more often can help regulate blood sugars, keeping you fuller and more even keeled.
