She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Merchandising and Design earlier this week in Los Angeles.

And Amanda Bynes reportedly received an 'outing pass' to attend the ceremony as she's still listed 'inpatient' at a mental health facility, according to PEOPLE.

The 33-year-old actress checked into treatment earlier this year after acknowledging her struggle being back in the public eye as she pursues her career.

'She was able to get an outing pass for a few hours for the special occasion so she could walk with the other students,' a source said. 'But she left a little early and was back at the facility at the end of the graduation.'

Amanda shared a rare snap on the big day as she wore a gap and gown for the celebration at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. 

She tweeted the photo to her 2.96million followers just before 9 p.m. — an uncommon update from the actress who hadn't used the platform since November.

The Hairspray star was seen with a male friend who wore sunglasses and a leopard print suit and she later posed with a female friend.

The school offers accredited Master’s, Bachelor’s and Associate Degree programs in design and creative business.

Bynes began attending the famed design school in 2014 and she received her Associate of Arts degree in merchandise product development in the fall. 

'Amanda is doing great, working on herself, and taking some well-deserved time off to focus on her wellbeing after graduating FIDM in December,' her attorney Tamar Arminak told PEOPLE earlier this year.

'She’s spending time reading and exercising, sketching for her new line and mostly making sure this time around she puts her needs first.'

According to UsWeekly, the pressure of being back in the spotlight was too much for her and she unraveled, but she quickly sought out treatment. 

'She is responding very well to treatment and her team remains extremely optimistic about her future,' a source told the site.

Following a series of turbulent years, the Thousand Oaks, California native is currently under a conservatorship, similar to another celebrity who lives nearby, Britney Spears.

Under the arrangement with Bynes, the actress has relinquished control of her major life decisions to her mother Lynne until next year; she does control her money. 

Bynes was 'doing great, working on herself, and taking some well-deserved time off,' an attorney for the actress, Tamar Arminak, told E! News in a statement in April.

According to Arminak, Bynes was 'spending time reading and exercising, sketching for her new line and mostly making sure this time around she puts her needs first.'

The one-time Nickelodeon star opened up last year to Paper magazine that she eventually wants to return to show business in 'kind of the same way [she] did as a kid, which is with excitement and hope for the best.'

In the chat, Bynes said she began smoking marijuana at the age of 16, then 'progressed' to using molly, Adderall and cocaine, the latter of which she said she 'never got high from.

'Everybody is different, obviously, but for me, the mixture of marijuana and whatever other drugs and sometimes drinking really messed up my brain ,' she said. 

'There are gateway drugs and thankfully I never did heroin or meth or anything like that but certain things that you think are harmless, they may actually affect you in a more harmful way.'
