Phil Collins, 68, is helped out of his wheelchair ahead of Warsaw gig... after multiple back surgeries left him struggling to stand

He's been left struggling to stand following multiple back surgeries but Phil Collins hasn't been letting that get in the way of performing on his latest tour.

The 68-year-old was pictured being helped out of his wheelchair at Warsaw airport on Wednesday ahead of his gig at the National Stadium.

Holding his walking stick in his hand, Phil showed his true strength of character as he continues to delight his fans despite his ongoing health woes.

The iconic Easy Lover hitmaker headed to a waiting car ahead of his latest performance.

While he is able to walk short journeys, Phil now performs from the comfort of a chair but is still able to put on an incredible show.

Phil has been hard at work since he announced his comeback tour in October 2016 after coming out of retirement.

He had originally planned to kick off his return with five nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall with tickets for the shows selling out in 15 seconds.

But following a fall on the way to the bathroom a year later, the British singer was forced to cancel the shows and reschedule them for that November.

A statement was released at the time, which read; ‘Phil suffers from "drop foot" as a result of a back operation which makes it difficult to walk.'

Just a fortnight ago, Phil had a huge surprise in store for fans during a solo show in Berlin when he reunited with Genesis star Mike Rutherford.

The pair, who had last shared a stage back in 2007 for a Genesis reunion tour, performed Follow You, Follow Me.

Mike gave Phil a huge hug as he walked onstage and Collins said: 'I think we’ll have it one more time – Mr. Mike Rutherford!'
