Shocking footage has emerged of the terrifying moment a man snatched a taser from police and fired it during a dramatic arrest at a Sydney train station in front of stunned passengers. He has been charged with a string of offences following the incident in Sydney's south-west on Friday afternoon which occurred at Yennora train station. The Kingswood man, 50, was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

A man is seen pacing back and forth swinging his arms before hitting the woman twice while her back was turned. The attack allegedly happened in the Downtown area of Portland, Oregon. The woman fell onto a nearby man for support, while her attacker walked away

A private investigator now earns a living as a 'Coffin Confessor' - gatecrashing funerals at the request of the dead to share on their behalf what they couldn't get off their chest when they were alive. Bill Edgar, from the Gold Coast, started the world-first business last year when he was hired as a private detective by an elderly man who was terminally ill.  While on his death bed, the 79-year-old had one last request for Mr Edgar - to interrupt his own funeral.

Princess Haya Al Hussein (main with Sheikh Maktoum) is believed to have initially sought political asylum in Germany after a diplomat helped her 'escape' from Dubai. It is believed that Germany authorities refused a request from her husband Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Maktoum (bottom left inset, meeting the Queen at Royal Ascot alone) to return his wife to Dubai. She hasn't been seen in public since May 20 and was noticeably absent from last week's Royal Ascot, which she usually attends with her husband. The worrying reports come are reminiscent of the disappearance of Princess Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum (left), one of the Sheikh's children from another wife, who was detained off the coast of India after attempting to flee to America as a political asylum seeker in March last year.

Elvis Presley's private life was largely unknown until his former bodyguards spoke out about his sexual appetite and drug taking. Three members of Presley's so-called Memphis Mafia told their story to legendary Australian reporter Steve Dunleavy, who helped them write Elvis: What Happened? The book was published in August 1977, just days before Presley (right, with some of his entourage) died suddenly at home in his Memphis mansion Graceland. Elvis: What Happened? became a publishing sensation, selling millions of copies. Dunleavy died at his Long Island, New York, home aged 81 on Tuesday.

Alex Headen was performing with the band at Rockstock Festival in Stockport, Greater Manchester, last month when he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder. As the band played Helmet in the Bush, the left side of Mr Headen's body went numb and he lost sight in his left eye. But the determined drummer finished the track using just his right hand before collapsing and being rushed to hospital. Mr Headen, from Wirral, Merseyside, said: 'I didn't want to stop the song because it was so early in the set. I didn't want to let the band or crowd down. Never in a million years did I think I was having a stroke. I just thought I had low blood sugar or was dehydrated.

Twitter user Theodore Gussie shared examples of the funny tactic to the social media platform on Wednesday, June 26. The Chicago-based user wrote: 'Sometimes when my girl makes me mad I upload pictures with her forehead edited to be slightly bigger'. He accompanied the tweet with a photo that he had edited to make his girlfriend Adilene Venegas' forehead appear larger than normal. The widow of young father Navar Herbert, who died of a brain tumour on Tuesday night, broke down in tears at a service on Friday, saying he was the love of her life.  Navar, an otherwise fit and healthy father-of-one, died just a day after marrying his sweetheart Maia Falwasser in an intimate backyard wedding in Queensland. At an emotional service at Navar's football team's clubhouse, his wife Maia turned her back to the crowd and spoke directly to her husband's open casket, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported. 

Carmelo, 35, was photographed Tuesday on a yacht in southern France with a mystery woman in a leopard print swimsuit (inset). The photos emerged as bloggers accused him of cheating on his wife La La Anthony, who was in New York City celebrating her 26th birthday. Carmelo claimed that the woman on the yacht was with her husband and family. However, Sara, a 28-year-old model and actress, is believed to be the mystery woman and she is reportedly not married. One gossip blog claimed they met in Paris, France. Carmelo was in the City of Light last week to attend the men's shows during Paris Fashion Week. Little is known about Sara, who made her Instagram account private overnight amid the speculation. Carmelo and La La have been married since 2010 and share a 12-year-old son. They split briefly last year amid rumors he fathered a child with another woman. La La is said to be 'a wreck' over the photos despite Carmelo's denials.

A swarm of bees brought play to a temporary halt during South Africa and Sri Lanka's World Cup clash in Durham. Both sets of players and the umpires were forced to lie on the ground as hundreds of bees invaded Chester-le-Street and made for the batsman's crease. Spectators watched on bemused at the sight as the swarm was uninterested in the stands, instead preferring to be involved in the action. 

Shocking footage shows two teenage boys staunching each other before they start throwing punches at each other. As the fight erupts, the 37-year-old teacher from Thuringowa State High School in north Queensland, runs to stop the incident from escalating. Other students step in before the teacher raises her voice as she is protecting the victim. Police are currently investigating the horrific attack.

Parents Theodora and Epimenio (right) were given terrible news at the 13-week scan for their twin girls Jenessa and Genesis (right). Chicago doctors had spotted a teratoma, a benign but fast-growing tumor, on Jenessa's neck (pictured, left, after delivery). It threatened to suffocate Jenessa, and there was a risk Genesis would grow one too. At 29 weeks, they performed a C-section, first making a smaller incision to get a breathing tube and an IV attached to Jenessa so she would stay alive. Then they delivered her and whisked her off to surgery as Genesis was delivered.

A public auction of Oleg Cassini's estate in Long Island, New York reveals a treasure trove of personal mementos, never before seen photos, fashion sketches and intimate letters from the notorious playboy who is credited with with creating Jackie Kennedy's 'look' during the Camelot years when he was employed as her personal couturier. Cassini came to America in 1939 as a penniless Russian aristocrat before he propelled himself into society's most exclusive circles; once married to Gene Tierney and briefly engaged to Grace Kelly (top right). He became most infamous for his reputation as an international polo playing Lothario who had liaisons with Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Lana Turner.

A bride's big, choreographed wedding dance stunt nearly ended in tears due to her father's over enthusiasm for his role. Like many contemporary brides, Samara Fraker decided to entertain guests at her January wedding in San Antonio, Texas, by choreographing a special dance with her father. Part of the routine involved the famous run-and-lift scene from the movie Dirty Dancing, but, as Fraker told Storyful , because she was too heavy for her dad to hoist up into the air above his head, she decided to have one of her flower girls take on the stunt instead. A guest's video captured the moment when what should have been the highlight of the daddy-daughter dance wound up going horribly pear-shaped.

Pamela Hupp, 60 (inset), was sentenced to life in prison for murdering mentally disabled man Louis Gumpenberger, 33 (top right), in August 2016 in O'Fallan, Missouri. She described to police in her first interview (left) that she shot him after he tried to attack her with a knife in her driveway. Police discovered Hupp lured Gumpenberger to her home by pretending to be a producer of NBC's Dateline. It is believed Hupp wanted to frame the husband of her dead friend, Betsy Faria, for the murder. Betsy was stabbed to death in 2011 and her husband, Russell (bottom right), was first convicted but later acquitted. He then claimed Hupp had murdered his wife because she benefited from Betsy's $150,000 life insurance policy.

Bone-chilling images of Clarence Dally's hands (left) reveal the horrific damage Thomas Edison's young assistant sustained while helping the inventor experiment with X-rays. Dally would spend hours a day with his hands under X-ray tubes as Edison developed the fluoroscope (right), exposing himself to over 1,000 times more radiation at a time than the modern X-ray machine emits. Dally developed carcinoma and had to have both of his arms amputated before his death at age 39. Today, our understanding of X-rays dangers help keep patients safe. But his assistant's death chilled Edison, who gave up experimenting with the technology and said, 'don't talk to me about X-rays, I am afraid of them.'
