Princeton grad Thomas Gilbert is found GUILTY of murdering his dad

Princeton graduate Thomas 'Tommy' Gilbert Jr. has been found guilty of shooting his father dead in 2015, after the jury rejected his claims of 'mental insanity'. The verdict was confirmed by a Manhattan jury on Friday afternoon, and the 34-year-old now faces 25 years to life in prison, on account of his second-degree murder charge. Gilbert shot his father, Thomas Sr., in the head at his Upper East Side Home in 2015 after telling his mother to go out to fetch him a sandwich and a Coke.

A bride's big, choreographed wedding dance stunt nearly ended in tears due to her father's over enthusiasm for his role. Like many contemporary brides, Samara Fraker decided to entertain guests at her January wedding in San Antonio, Texas, by choreographing a special dance with her father. Part of the routine involved the famous run-and-lift scene from the movie Dirty Dancing, but, as Fraker told Storyful , because she was too heavy for her dad to hoist up into the air above his head, she decided to have one of her flower girls take on the stunt instead. A guest's video captured the moment when what should have been the highlight of the daddy-daughter dance wound up going horribly pear-shaped.

Bone-chilling images of Clarence Dally's hands (left) reveal the horrific damage Thomas Edison's young assistant sustained while helping the inventor experiment with X-rays.
