Mary-Kate Olsen continues her expert foray into horse-riding as she competes with her prized steed in the Longines Global Champions Tour in Paris

She is a former child star who enjoyed a career with twin sister Ashley as they turned from actresses to fashion designers.

And Mary-Kate Olsen proved she's got another string to her bow as she appeared a dab hand at horse riding, when she mounted her prized steed Naomi to display her showjumping skills at the Longines Global Champions Tour at Paris on Saturday. 

The star, 33, looked an equestrian dream in an all-white ensemble, with jodhpurs and a matching show shirt.

Mary-Kate added a block of colour to the ensemble, teaming it with a black belt and and riding boots. 

She also ensured her safety wasn't at risk as she donned a velvet riding hat, as well as a pair of black leather gloves. 

Wearing her honey-blonde tresses tucked underneath her hat, Mary-Kate opted for a fresh palette of makeup.

Off the horse, the star kept things as stylish as always as she donned a maroon hat while shielding her eyes with sunglasses.

Her outing came days after she was seen competing in the Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco, as her banker husband Olivier Sarkozy, 50, supported her from the sidelines.

Mary-Kate, who has been riding since she was six, once revealed in her HITS rider profile that she 'first fell in love' with a pony named 4x4.

She said: 'I was six when I first fell in love and it was with a pony named 4x4.

'[Horseriding] allows me to exist in another world and it allows me to practice being accepting, patient, disciplined, compassionate, competitive, and all of those other emotions that are very important to have in your everyday life. Horses teach you a lot about yourself.'

The diminutive designer added: 'One of The Row's first blazers was inspired by one of my first show jumping coats.'

The Longines Global Champions Tour is an annual showjumping series which comprises of 15 rounds of competition hosted around the world.
