Watch What Happens Live: Tinsley Mortimer shuts down dating rumor but mother Dale quickly revives it

Tinsley Mortimer shut down a dating rumor Tuesday on Watch What Happens Live, but her mother Dale Mercer quickly revived it.

The 43-year-old socialite was asked by a caller about a rumor that she was dating former TV host Billy Bush, 47.

'Billy has been a friend of mine for a long time. I did see him, we went bowling and we had a lot of fun, but we're not dating,' Tinsley said laughing off the question.

'We're just friends,' she added after denying a report that they had been 'canoodling'.

Show host Andy Cohen, 51, then asked Tinsley's mother Dale who was behind the bar in the Bravo clubhouse about the dating rumor.

'I don't know Billy, but I know that she did have two dates with him,' Dale said.

'What? That's not even true. I did not have two dates with him!,' Tinsley squealed in protest at her mother who was laughing and clapping behind the bar.

The Real Housewives Of New York City star also explained her recent argument with co-star Sonja Morgan, 55, after a Pride event.

'Sonja and I go at it all the time. ...It's the same argument that Sonja and I have had this entire time. Here we go again, I'm not grateful for living in her townhouse,' Tinsley said.

Dale was asked for her opinion on their argument and she said that Tinsley was appreciative of the hospitality, but wanted to stay out of Sonja's way.
