Southern Charm's Thomas Ravenel seeks full custody of kids accusing ex Kathryn Dennis of failing drug test

They're locked in a bitter custody battle over their children and now there's another twist in the ongoing saga between Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis.

The Southern Charm co-stars currently have 50-50 custody of daughter Kensie, five, and son Saint, three.

But according to TheBlast.com Monday, Ravenel, 56, is demanding he be given full custody claiming Dennis, 26, recently failed a court-mandated drug test.

Thomas Ravenel is seeking full custody of the two children he shares with Kathryn Dennis after she allegedly tested positive for marijuana. The exes currently share 50-50 custody of Kensie, five, and Saint, three. They're pictured together in May

In court documents obtained by TheBlast.com, Ravenel claims that his ex's urine test on June 14 yielded a positive result for marijuana, along with benzodiazepines and amphetamines.

While Dennis has prescriptions for benzodiazepines and amphetamines, marijuana is not allowed and, it's alleged, she was caring for the two children at the time of the positive drug test.

The filing notes that Dennis 'disputes the veracity of the June 14, 2019 urine tests because her hair test was negative.'

However, Ravenel claims that Dennis wears wigs and hair extensions and routinely bleaches and colors her hair, making her hair tests unreliable.

Ravenel, a former treasurer for the state of South Carolina acknowledges that Dennis's positive test was subsequently followed by a negative one but argues that 'the marijuana detected in the June 14, 2019 test could have been flushed out of her urine by that time.'

He is asking the judge to give him sole custody of the children and allow Dennis only to have supervised visitations every other weekend.

Dennis has so far not given any public response to Ravenel's filing.

She subsequently sought treatment and after completing rehab she successfully petitioned the court for joint custody.

Last fall, Dennis went back to court to request full custody following Ravenel's arrest on assault and battery charges for allegedly sexually assaulting his children's former nanny,

He is currently awaiting trial and denies all the charges against him.
